I had a thoroughly enjoyable 12-day stay at the Olive Branch and felt very well looked after by the wonderful staff. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect place to unwind. I booked the corporate deal, which included a delicious three-course dinner each evening—a real treat to look forward to after a long day at work.

Lovely place. Perfect location very close to a pretty canal affording scenic walks to Marsden, Slaithwaite and Huddersfield. Comfortable room, with lots of those wonderful small touches. The dinner and breakfast were of a very high standard, and the owner, Charlotte and her team (quite a few of her own making I believe!) were welcoming and helpful in the extreme. We loved it.

I come to Marsden for an annual event in the autumn, and staying at the Olive Branch is one of the highlights of my visit. The location is convenient for getting into the centre of Marsden and nearby Huddersfield, the views spectacular, and the rooms clean and comfortable. Staff are cheerful and welcoming, and landlady Charlotte has gone above and beyond the call of duty to offer help when I needed it. During my last visit I had the deepest sleep I've had in years, which is about the highest compliment I can pay a hotel. I've already booked next year's visit.

Thursday night dinner, bed and breakfast package is excellent value, highly recommended. The food is outstanding, the room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable and it's a great location. Contrary to some other reviews I've seen, there is parking here.

We travelled with another couple. We took advantage of the Sunday night saver. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was amazing especially the Surf and Turf. No steak knife needed it was like butter and the lobster was delicious. We could not fault the food at all. Our room was at the front and was quite noisy from the traffic passing through. The room was spotless and the bed really comfortable. The bathroom was large. The only problem was the following morning when I went for a shower there was no water pressure, think other guests may have been showering at the same time. This wouldn't put us off from returning in the future. Hopefully the weather will be better next time and we could sit outside on the patio or beer garden.

Welcoming, friendly, helpful, excellent food. We really enjoyed our stay, we were running the Pennine Way and so we were gone very early but the service was nothing short of fantastic, great garden to relax in. Thank you! Fergus and Jack Mitchell

We have dined and stayed over at the Olive Branch many times over the last 8 years and we have never been disappointed. The food has always been excellent, with a good choice of starter and mains and lovely desserts. What we particularly love about the olive Branch is the opportunity to stay over in their lovely boutique rooms. No one has to drive so we can all enjoy a great G and T or beer followed by a good selection of wines from their cellar, along with the meal The staff are always really friendly and it feels like coming home. Breakfasts are always good too, if you can manage it after a hearty meal ,the night before.We can highly recommend The Olive Branch for a meal and it is a great place to stay over too.

Enjoyed our stay here, had a lovely meal in the evening and breakfast was good too. Room was warm and comfortable. Foothpath from the hotel down to the canal towpath meant we could easily walk into Marsden and to Slaithwaite. Bet the beer garden here is lovely in the Summer (it was a wet February day when we were there!)

We were attending an event nearby, and dropped on this place at the last minute. The staff were super friendly and the room was very good, it comes with breakfast and that was also very good, a most enjoyable stay. The whole team were very accommodating. We didn't go for the restaurant and at this time of year it isn't open Monday through Wednesday anyway, so cannot comment on that but we did note the many positive reviews on that before we stayed, and if the breakfast is anything to go by the restaurant will be good too!
