Homewood Suites by Hilton St. Louis Westport

Comfort level at this hotel was high, as was the staff’s friendliness, but too many little things just weren’t right. The heat was on — not the air conditioning — when we arrived, and the room temperature was 77 degrees. No soap was provided in the bathroom, and the towel bar next to the sink was pulling out of the wall. The height of the desk chair was way too low even for me — I’m 5’4” — and could not be raised. The ventilation was really good, though, I could feel air moving into our room from the hallway, and my CO2 monitor was consistently around 800ppm or less. I wish more hotels would figure out how to do that.

As a current customer, this is my first and last time booking a room at this facility. First, around 5 pm two white guest reported adults were in the room fighting. Once the front desk employee noticed it was a false alarm, she apologized and left. Around 10 pm, I received my first "noise complaint". I'm not bothered that I received the complaint. What bothers me is the disrespectful tone and delivery of the message. Upon opening the door, the manager accompanied by security asked for me. Once I identified myself, he proceeded to say, "this is your first and last noise complaint. If we receive another one everyone will be asked to leave with no refund." His tone was very condescending and disrespectful. His mind was already made up with the type of customer service he was going to deliver the moment he saw that I was a black customer. I sincerely hope this is that the approach nor script Hilton allows employees to use when addressing any concerns with a customer. I can only hope this is not how all customer's have had to experience this hotel whenever a false complaint or noise complaint has been made. I further want to add that this manager's demeanor is not reflective of all Hilton establishments as I've frequented other establishments by Hilton in other states and received excellent customer service. Up until this interaction, my interactions with all other hotel staff was pleasant.

I’ve been a Hilton Diamond member for 10 years, usually staying in hotels 100+ nights a year. In all that time I’ve never been to a hotel that has a friendlier staff. Every time I saw anyone I was greeted with a huge smile and asking how my stay was and if there was anything they could do for me. And it was everyone, not just one or two people. It made the stay so much more enjoyable. On top of that, the hotel was spotlessly clean and the fitness center was health-club quality. I said to my wife that if it was available I’d drop my gym membership and use the fitness center here. Made working out really enjoyable. Definitely one of the best Hiltons around. Great for families.

My husband and I came up to STL to do some shopping and a comedy show. Everyone was wonderful that I came in contact with. Very nice and clean hotel. That is why I stay at the Hilton because of hospitality

The overall stay was fine, however, the room was on the dirty side. The bed skirt and duvet had stains all over them. Additionally, the door would not close behind me. I had to physically pull the door shut for it to close. As a solo female traveler, this is always concerning. Lastly, the breakfast was lacking - three pieces of old fruit, I had to pass. It was not late and should not have been picked over when I left either, this was at 7:20 am. I stay frequently at this hotel for business and the hotel is showing signs of wear and is not as clean and well-kept as it used to be.

The room was exceptional--clean and spacious. The kitchenette was great. Heat and AC worked perfectly (unlike other hotels). Fantastic breakfast with lots of choices and lots of seating. The pool wasn't enormous but the area was clean and well kept. The putting green is a nice touch. The adjacent restaurant was very good and there is plenty of local options nearby. Easy access to the highway. The small problem was that the vending machines weren't working on any of the floors in our wing, but the selection just off the front desk was much, much better anyway. A very nice place to stay at a good price.

Had a nice two day stay. The hotel was very clean and the free breakfast was great, which consisted of cereals, bagels, muffins, fruits, yogurt, and make your own waffles. The hot bar included eggs, sausage, French toast, potatoes, and country fried steak. The gym is huge and had machines for each body part, dumbbells up to 50lbs, dual cable machine, and tons of cardio equipment including a peloton. There is also free self laundry with two washers and two dryers though you’ll need to buy detergent in the lobby or bring your own. There is also an indoor pool. As a Hilton Diamond member I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite and given two bottles of water and a snack. About 15 min from STL airport and 30 min from the Arch. I would stay here again.

Great location easy access from the major interstates. Nice Homewood , updated and clean rooms. Common areas were all clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pretty standard Homewood experience but certainly on the side of a better maintained and well cared for Where it really stands out is the fitness facility . The website doesn't do it justice. First off its a massive space (more on that later) secondly they have a lot of equipment you dont find in 99% of hotels. They had 6 treadmills 3 or 4 ellipticals a few recumbent bikes and the new Peleton of course. In addition they had the Precor style machine AND a full suite of Precor machines. Leg machines, Lat pull down /row machine , Leg press, Bench/overhead press , bicep/triceps curl machine as well as a GHD device , a sit up bench and a dip station/ab station . Also present was a dumbbell rack with 5-50LBS (missing the 15lbs pairing) and multiple incline adjustable benches . The layout was good and optimized They had a towel rack and h2o station as well I asked about the gym since it was a surprise, the desk mgr mentioned that they started with the standard size gym and in the course of a remodel removed 2 entire rooms to expand the gym foot print . So its the usual HW gym PLUS 2 ground floor rooms. Its a 120 room property so having this much equipment is a bonus only found in larger convention style operations with 200+ rooms in my experience The gym was clean and the equipment seemed to be cared for. Most of the equipment was in great shape If you like a large gym with a lot of options and a ton of space this is a great choice

Chanelle at the front desk was super helpful assisting with getting a boarding pass printed! We SO appreciated her help and friendliness. The hotel was very nice, and the rooms were big and comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel to visitors to this area.
