The lock box was locked open and broken so I couldn't secure the keys and the furniture is very average.

Booked here as wanted to tried Mascot area. Starting of the bookings there were issues already. I booked through Trip.com and was the 1st time experience this. The instructions are super complicating, fortunately I bought a SIM card before arriving as you need it as you need to check in online. After this, was supposed to collect the key from the letterbox but there was nothing inside. Was confused here, and the issue was the room was not ready for check in (it was already 8+pm so I think they forgot the booking). Their service recovery was to pay for dinner and they did which was nice. After coming back from dinner, room was still not ready which is okay. After bathing, I realised the master bedroom aircon was not working. Went to the aircon panel, it's a centralised aircon so we couldn't do anything. Contacted help desk but they refused to send anyone to fix the issue. This was made worse because the condenser inside the balcony, which blows directly to the room window. Tried to cancel the booking, they refused. All in all, they didn't solved the aircon issue. It was out from Saturday to Friday. Their service recovery for this was to change room. I didn't want to stay as a person entered the room without knocking. And with this property you can't lock the door except for door lock. They were kind enough to let us check out late. But the experience is enough to not stay here again.

It is a 2 train stops from SYD international airport with approx 5-10mins walk. Need to deposit AUD250 before checking in and keys to be taken from the letterbox. The apartment is very spacious with a huge balcony. It is a 2-storey unit with rooms and 2 toilets at the 2nd level. Midstay cleaning with additional charges and no topping up of toiletries etc. Woolworths is just around the corner with an Asian mart just opposite. Eateries are all around. Halal kebab is at the train station and Halal Thai restaurant opposite the train station as well.

The positives are: located close to the airport and within easy walking distance from the train station. There are many eateries and a super market close by. A very spacious apartment with a generous parking space. Covered balcony space if you want to step outside without going down stairs. What I did not like: the apartment furnishing is very minimal and drab. I looks really old and not well maintained with marks on all the walls, chips in floor tiles, worn furniture. The apartment is not serviced, but there is a washer and drier so you can wash towels yourself. Cleanliness is questionable (dirty appliance knobs, mold in the shower, unwashed dishes in cupboard, very dirty windows), but cleaning products are provided so you can get stuck in yourself. The space also feels very unfinished with no towel rails, no toilette brush and minimal crockery provided, but the coffee machine was a pleasant surprise. There is no dedicated work space and the wifi buffers with Netflix. The shared spaces like lifts, garbage room, lobby and parking garage is covered in notices outlining issues and threatening action - dumping of rubbish (which is rife in the parking basement), people using the garden space outside of designated times etc. Definitely read the confirmation emails and check-in instructions well and have those emails handy. There is zero human interaction in the entire process so do not expect face-to-face communication of any kind.
