11 days here, wonderful holiday, food was an absolute delight as were all the staff, they couldn't do enough for you, spotlessly clean throughout and tidy surroundings, smashing little pool too, a bus ride or beautiful (steep) walk into Sorrento, or a lovely typically Italian high st 100m away. Room a little small but we had a nice view over the pool and orchard,and a lemon tree right under our balcony, definitely recommend it.

Excellent hotel with extremely helpful staff. It is someway out of Sorrento (8Km) and while you can walk to there in under an hour there is a frequent bus service. Tickets bought at the Tourist Office cost 3€ for a return journey. We found the choice of restaurants in the village quite acceptable and we only visited Sorrento twice. It was really quite busy especially at the weekends. We visited Pompeii and would recommend a walking tour to gain the full experience. The lovely hotel staff organised boat trips to the Amalfi Coast, Capri and the La Masseria farm experience. This latter trip, while expensive, was a highlight and included lunch. I would reiterate the quality and cleanliness of the hotel and the excellent staff.

Can't fault the hotel,other reviews say it all. Food good quality but appreciate more vegetables with the main course,would make it more enjoyable,filled up with excellent bread but not an healthy option. Return again next year and many more to come, excellent friendly staff

The hotel was bright and clean and also in a convenient location for buses and restaurants. Our room was basic but adequate, very small bathroom and a balcony with no sun ! The breakfasts were ok if you like cake and cold scrambled eggs. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the pool was lovely (though snack bar was only open until 2.30!)

First time at this hotel but definitely won’t be our last. Beautiful clean hotel which is very important to us. Food is amazing at breakfast and dinner. A different choice every night. All the staff are lovely. Easy to get the bus into sorrento. Don’t book your excursions with your travel agent as the hotel does them cheaper with an outside agent at nearly Half price. No fighting for a sunbed and great pool etc. the owner is lovely and very helpful with buses and local area etc.

We have just come back from a week at this hotel. It was fantastic! the location perfect for the town and its restaurants and bars. A short bus ride into Sorento and any trip you want can be organised by the hotel. Staff exceptional, room spotless and pools and restaurants great. I can’t fault either the hotel the staff and the location is perfect. We will definitely go back again.

Just back from this fabulous family run hotel,this was our third visit (says it all) and our stay was fantastic again.we like staying in the hills half an hour away from busy Sorrento.The hotel is well placed with an easy bus ride to Sorrento to get to see the rest of the Amalfi Coast by bus,train or boat.Our room was clean and spacious,pool towels were available and the pool area is very relaxing with ample sunbeds.We stayed half board and the food was excellent and plentiful.All staff are so helpful and friendly,good to see Claudio and the family again.Can't recommend this hotel enough and hope to see you again next year.

My 15 year old son and I stayed at this fantastic hotel this summer and we didn’t want to leave! The staff (and especially Antonella) made our holiday. Rooms were cleaned daily, always got a bed by the pool, breakfast was great, location was superb and much nicer than staying in Sorrento. We ate at a different restaurant every night within a 5 minute walk of the hotel and it seemed more authentic than the other tourist packed places we visited. Will definitely be back and can’t praise enough everyone who worked there - Ive travelled a lot and this was one of the best experiences I’ve had.

This is a fabulous, family-run hotel, which fully deserves all of the positive reviews on this site. Comments on the food, pool, cleanliness, friendliness and village are spot-on. The hotel is indeed the perfect base for visiting and/or touring the Sorrento peninsula and Amalfi Coast. The local and well-run public bus network visits all the main tourist towns, as well as the Sorrento train station. We parked our car at the hotel, and didn’t use it at all during our stay. Travelling to Capri, Positano, Massa, Amalfi and Sorrento is easy and low-cost. At the end of each day’s touring, the hotel and the village were a lovely and welcoming refuge from the tourist hot-spots. If you are thinking of booking this hotel, stop thinking and just book it, you will be glad you did. Our stay at Hotel Sant’Agata was the highlight of our five-week Italian holiday in Summer 2024.
