Fire hazard, poor maintenance. I stay in 30+ hotels a year. I will not stay in this hotel again. I found it they had fire doors held open to the stairways with magnets, which I believe is a fire code hazard. Before I went to bed, I found three fire doors on my floor wide open to the stairways. In speaking to another hotel in Ohio, they confirmed that this is against code, that if a fire strikes on one floor, the fire can move to other floors through the stairwell that is wide open and not closed by fire door. I came into my room and found that the cooling is handled by a floor unit air conditioner that vents through a window. This air conditioner was in the bedroom, and was intended to cool the entire suite, including the separate room., living room kitchen. The hotel was designed for a heating air conditioning unit that was built in and is not working. You can see by the pictures that the venting is not tightly done and lets in air from the outside. The front desk told me several rooms are like this, and I could see from the outside that there were several rooms which vented out like this. I can only believe that this was done to save money to not repair the original unit. Hotel has been renovated, but based on the tub in the room, it is an older motel .
