Chantauvent Guest House

A mixed experience with this guest house. First, it is a prime location with it private beach. I would strongly recommend to pay the extra to have a beach front bedroom, as all the others are on the other side of the road and very inconvenient. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good, especially their crepes and taken in the room overlooking the lagoon. The downside is the owners of Chautauvent do not maintain their place, and it's very old, poorly maintained with bugs. Old furniture, not really clean because it is understaffed and the only brave ones can only do what they can. Do not count on the snorkelling gear, they are half broken and others in poor condition. However they have 4 canoes, 2 of them for 2 people which are good to go explore the lagoon and watch the fish and magnificent corals just meters away from the hotel. Plenty of air traffic right above the hotel, so in the evening, until last flight, it can be noisy, other than that the guest house is very calm. Advantage is when you are on a connection flight, you are only 10 minutes away from the airport. It has its own very small restaurant, and you need to book to get a spot, otherwise there is 2 other restaurants a few minutes away, and also you can dine at the 4-star hotel next to the guest house and enjoy their night entertainment.

Blue Bay is a lovely sheltered bay. Our accommodation in a room over the road from the main building was comfortable although we were supplied with only 1 small bottle of drinkable water during our entire 3 day stay; after our flight, we were very dehydrated and I think at least 1 larger bottle/day would have been preferable. Breakfast was included with our accommodation but this consisted of some watermelon occasionally supplemented by pineapple or (rarely) pawpaw, plus a small selection of cereal and pastries.

room hut style, located of front a wonderful coral reef easily accessible and 5 minutes walking to sand beach. supreme breakfast with many choices. two restaurant , we tried only the one on the "other side" of the street (pool side) that was ok.

All in all Localation is fantistic, The stay was pleasant, however the guest house does need to be uplifted, renovated. So much more can be done to improve the experience. The front area could be really the "special spot" if they made comfort areas where one can enjoy the fab view.

Wonderful stay at Chantauvent. A great place to relax and unwind. It's a beautiful guest house very close to the airport and the property is maintained really well. The property is right on the blue bay waterfront and the views of the ocean are beautiful. The accommodation provided to me was on the garden side and it met my expectations. The staff Aurelie, Jenita, and Juanitu were very helpful. I highly recommend this place for a vacation stay.

Very cozy place. Staff welcoming and helpful. Garden side room very clean and ideal for couples. The setting is so calming with the beautiful trees on the balcony. Rustic vibe. Great to unwind in simplicity. Not for someone looking for luxury. Ideally located next to the beach and In the Spot cafe. Perfect for a weekend get away.
