We stayed here last year and loved it so much we had to come back again. The Good Life has a wonderful chilled vibe, and all the trees around make you feel totally immersed in nature. The whole team is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food is fantastic. Some mornings we headed out early to dive, and they were happy to prepare us an early breakfast to take along. The rooms are cosy, comfortable, and have everything you need. The pool area is perfect for relaxing, especially with the gentle sound of the water feature nearby. We honestly wouldn't hesitate to come back again—it's such a lovely place.

This is very nice, albeit quite pricey accommodation set in beautiful grounds. Breakfasts were tasty and plentiful and the friendly owner was available most mornings to offer advice on attractions and places to visit. We had lunch on the day of arrival which was ok and quite expensive for what we had. You really do need a car - the road outside is busy and could be dangerous as there is virtually no pavement, hence it is difficult to walk anywhere. We incorrectly assumed the beach would be easily accessible from the property, but that isn’t the case.

the place was an absolute highlight of our 3 weeks vacation on Mauritius and La Reunion. We enjoyed it so much, the owner is very nice and helpful, the food excellent and the atmosphere just amazing. Especially the pool and the restaurant area was great. Thank you so much for everything. we hope to be back one day.

Perfect place. Love the Nature. Antoine IS a very good Host, giving you good advice for activities. Breakfast is nice, but could BE more. You will need a Rental Car, as all good placed are Not in walking distance and streets are Not Made for pedestrians. Would recommend IT. WE want to Go there again.

Well what can I say an absolute gem of a find. Anton and the good life team are wonderful. The rooms and grounds are very well maintained. A hidden gem away from it 'all' after a day of exploring the island of Mauritius. Everything thought of in the rooms have beach and pool towels even mosquito repellent. Rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast was lovely would recommend the eggs and home made bread. The recommendations from the hotel are very good to get around the island and trips. Jumbo highly recommended to swim with turtles. Bus stop outside that can take you to port louis 5 min walk to both beaches and plenty of places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone exploring Mauritius. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Yasmin and Jackie :)

We stayed there for a week. The staff and owners have a real sense of hospitality that makes you feel welcome and helped with anything you need. It's quiet and the pool is great to relax after the beach. You can also reach a lot of great beaches and super U grande baie easily from there

I had a wonderful stay at Good Life Lodges. The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The peaceful location made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The easiest 5 star rate I left in the recent period. It should be a footprint for many hosts and B&B boutique hotels on how to run the premises. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we left. The host, Antoine, was amazing, the breakfast was sublime, the room was clean and comfortable. A couple of times we had to go early for field trips, so they prepared our breakfast for takeout. We can’t recommend enough this hotel if you decide to stay up north of Mauritius.

Every detail is thought of, from beach towels and insect repellent in the rooms to a list of local contacts and recommendations (including restaurants that will pick you up for free!). If you’re a light sleeper, an eye mask and ear plugs might be helpful, since it gets bright quite early and the birds and frogs can be a little noisy. For breakfast, the home-made bread and fluffy pancakes are fantastic and we loved the fresh local fruit (some of it directly from the garden).
