Ashbourne Country Escape Hazyview

It was brilliant to get back to the Lowveld. Ashbourne never lets us down. Rob ,Dawne and there new manager look after all our needs.there suppers are michelin star. It's with a heavy heart that we had too leave. But my batteries are full charged and can't wait to plan our next trip to Ashbourne.

Lovely rustic calm escape into the country. Beautiful birdlife, near access to the Kruger. Rob and Joan both knowledgeable and bestess hosts ever.

What a fantastic experience! Staying at Ashbourne was such a delight - the cottage was so comfortable and spacious, the food was so much better than anything we ate in a restaurant ( hats off to Tina!) and what can I say about Joan and Heather other than it was such a pleasure to get to know you! Joan not only seemed to anticipate our needs, she actually did anticipate them! And the welcome pack was absolutely tailored to our needs. The views, especially from the guest sundowner terrace, are unbelievably spectacular, layer after layer of hills and mountains stretching into the distance, and one night provided us with the best sunset we saw all holiday, which pleased me immensely. It was also a great pleasure to meet Rob and Dawne the owners and amazing to discover Rob was related to the formidable Miriam Topham - she of Grand National fame! If you want a fabulously relaxing, chilled time with great food, great views (the nearby Panorama Route is amazing and Kruger National Park is not far away) and great service, you can't go wrong with Ashbourne. I so want to go back!

What a fabulous place. Understated elegance blends with quiet professionalism to provide a perfect experience. The accommodation is spacious, stylish and comfortable, the welcome is warm and wholehearted. The food is to die for. Day trips to Kruger door to door, the stunning Panorama Route close at hand, or dont bother to leave the property, just immerse yourself in its tranquility and charm. We loved every second. We hated leaving.

We stayed in the primary suit in October 2024. It was the most romantic experience we could have wished for to end the weekend road trip. The room was a romantic dream especially the oversized 4 poster. The service was excellent and friendly. It was like staying at home. The food that was served was totally moorish. As full as we were it was soo good we wanted moor. Thank you to the owners for making us feel like family
