I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Media, Philadelphia, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. We checked into room 437 and immediately noticed a foul odor, particularly strong in the bathroom, resembling that of a porta potty. Despite notifying the reception, the temporary solution provided didn't last, and the odor persisted throughout the night, making it impossible for us to sleep comfortably. Even worse, my children almost vomited each time they used the bathroom. When I raised the issue again in the morning, the front desk acknowledged that this room has a history of similar complaints. It's baffling to me why a room with known issues would be assigned to guests in the first place. To make matters worse, I was told no alternative rooms were available due to full occupancy. The lack of proactive solutions and the suggestion of points towards my membership as compensation (That were never added) do not adequately address the significant inconvenience and discomfort we endured. Guests deserve better treatment and a more responsive approach to resolving such issues promptly. I hope this feedback prompts a review of room assignment procedures and a commitment to ensuring that guests do not have to experience similar problems in the future.
