## Le Bosphorus Hotel, Medina, Saudi Arabia: Review Confusing Payment Policy:Booking advertised "pay at property" but the hotel demanded pre-payment. Communication regarding received payment was unclear and unresponsive. I contacted the hotel via booking and WhatsApp and either didn’t get a response or was told that payment was never received although confirmed by my bank. I contacted Booking about this because I wasn’t getting reply from hotel and Booking confirmed that this was very “fishy” because it was not the policy. Upon arrival I kept asking them to check if they had received it and they kept saying they didn’t hear from “accounting” yet kept demanding paying the tax charges which is a very minimal account compared to the amount I had already transferred already. Every time I tried to go pay it at reception, they were busy, yet they kept whatsapping me on the last day as if I was going to leave without paying! Unfulfilled Early Check-In Request:Despite prior communication, early check-in was denied and required additional payment. Persistent Foul Odor in Room:The bathroom emitted a foul odor that significantly impacted the room's comfort. Despite multiple attempts to rectify the issue, the smell persisted. Room Change Inconvenience:The hotel offered a room change due to the odor issue, however, the new room was much tighter (because it was a triple room and beds were taking up all space) and unsuitable. A promised upgrade to a two-bedroom apartment never materialized. Surprise Additional Charges:The hotel demanded additional payment for taxes not advertised on *********** and persistently followed up despite unresolved issues. Other issues: Hotel is a 2 star hotel and this is not mentioned anywhere! Very low water pressure in bathroom! Overall Experience: The stay at Le Bosphorus Hotel was significantly impacted by the issues mentioned above. The lack of clarity regarding payment policies, unfulfilled requests, unresolved room issues, unprofessionalism and surprise charges resulted in a negative experience. The only two good things about this hotel are: location and Razinah, who we met on the last day and communicated all our negative feedback to.
