The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins Melbourne recensioner

Perfect location for train travelling, the hotel just apposite the southern Cross station, and the free tram ride just outside the hotel. There is no shower screen in the bath room so it is wet after showering. The shampoo bottle is locked to restrict usage so very difficult to press the bottle.

The hotel is located at the downtown free tram zone, next to a large train station, where there are many food stores and supermarkets. It is also next to the express skybus to airport. Location wise, it is a perfect choice. However, the hotel seems to be renovated from a historical building. Though it is well-tasty renovated, it is partially renewed only. The door to toilet is too old and literally creaky when open. The wall in toilet is built by plasterboard with poor sound proof. You can hear sounds from next door in the toilet. Service by the staff could be improved too. Btw, maybe staying at downtown Melbourne may not be a good choice. The hotel is not far away from police headquarters. I heard loud siren more than once every night during my stay. The street has a number of homeless day and night.

Rooms a little shabby. Dirty marks in bathroom yuk. No amenities no water. Toothpaste’ little extra care items . Disappointing for a four star. Staff advised we could buy water from bar. Bar only offered glass of water…. What?  Does anyone remember luxury customer value.

Service was perfect room very clean on a spacious location is just across the train station very convenient.  I can recommend it

Air conditioning have big sound even I not a light sleeper also been affected.

The location was great and easily accessible to the Skybus/trams to get to the city. My only issue was the Loft style. Given the weather, the air con is an older style on the ground floor, with the bedroom upstairs, the air didn't travel up so it was extremely hot to sleep. Whilst there was a fan available near the bed, it was noisy, making sleep less than ideal. I wouldn't recommend the loft style for stays in summer and wish I had picked the cheaper rooms with one level.

Such a great, convenient location. Even though our roo was on the 7th floor and faced Spencer St, it was so quiet. Having the train station opposite proved ideal and it's proximity to the cbd and all it has to offer, made our stay great. Little cage over the road does a great breakfast. Don't forget to go explore Hardware Lane... we will be back for longer next time. Got a great deal on Trip.com too!!

Seamless check in and front desk staff is very helpful. Walking distance to Southern Cross Station and Spencer Outlet Mall.

General very good hotel at Melbourne CBD. Breakfast options not so much

I am very satisfied with the hotel. Neat, quiet,comfortable. Their staffs were always helpful, and house keeping was quickly. Their breakfast was amazing, except for the occasional western breakfast, there were variable melons, and sometimes salmons as well.

Good location, a clean and quiet room, and services are no ce.

My 1 day stay at Hotel Savoy Little Collins was unfortunately too short and I did not get to fully experience the room, which was spacious and comfortable. The decor was minimalistic but worked well with the room’s architectural design. Staff were friendly and the hotel was conveniently located opposite Southern Cross station. I appreciated that there were many restaurants and cafes nearby. I left early next morning so I was unable to sample the buffet breakfast.
