Hotel Review – Ibis Central Rating: 3.75/5 I recently stayed at Ibis Central and overall had a pleasant experience. Location: The location is definitely a highlight—conveniently situated next to a major shopping center, which made exploring and grabbing essentials super easy. Room: The room was clean and comfortable, with an interesting layout where the sink is placed inside the bedroom instead of the bathroom. We were kindly placed on the 18th floor, which offered great views—shoutout to the reception team for that. Service: Reception staff were friendly and accommodating. However, communication with housekeeping was a bit of a challenge due to the language barrier, especially when we tried to request extra blankets and pillows. It would’ve been better to ask directly at the front desk. Amenities: Something to keep in mind—there were no complimentary toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers provided, so be sure to bring your own. Breakfast: The breakfast was decent with a good variety of options, though it stayed the same each day. The standout feature was the make-your-own juice station, which was a nice touch. Final Thoughts: Overall, a solid stay with a few minor inconveniences. With some improvements in guest amenities and communication, this place could easily push closer to a 5.

Not much view from the room, but the room is extremely clean. Size is good for one person. Love there's a TV with chrome cast which I can easily watch YouTube. Location is great. The doors cld be slammed - proofed. As my room was in between 2 others, I heard slamming of doors quite a no of times. Other than that, everything else was great. Smooth check in and out as it's auto.

I booked this room with concerns because we had a brother/sister pair and the pictures showed WC and shower that had only frosted glass for privacy - something I really don’t get and seems to be some new fad in hotels nowadays, not just Ibis Melbourne Central. But glad that the staff were able to secure a room with privacy doors ahead of our stay.

Perfect location - 2 minutes walk to Melbourne Central! Surrounded by great eateries and cafes. Easy check-in and check-out - we were allowed early check-in so thanks to the staff. The only three minor improvements that I can identify are providing free water bottles; that there should be flexible shower head (they only have fixed rain shower head); and the room door can be closed softly (the door closes automatically but with a loud bang - so loud that I can hear every time the next door room).

It’s conveniently located at the heart of Melbourne, the room is small but clean. Hope to get more amenities in the room.
