Bounce Melbourne - formerly Roamer Melbourne

I am travelling alone. Given I am watching a couple of night sessions at Australian Open I need somewhere which is within walking distance from the Melbourne Park. Overall you get what you paid for. One bed in a dorm of 8 ppl costs just under HKD $300 is a good price. The atmosphere in the hostel is good and those youth are enjoying themselves just like my boarding school days, just that now I am approaching half century. The shared washroom, bathroom and kitchen are good. The bed is with limited space with a cupboard where you can lock with your own lock which I am glad I took one. There was a bit of smell in the cabin I stayed and hence I believe that is why all four fans as well as the windows are always on. Staff is helpful and well mannered. I would say it is very reasonable given the price.

By far the best hostel I have stayed at so far in Australia. A few minor things that could be improved: 1. Although the toilets are cleaned several times a day, the job wasn't done thoroughly. Even after cleaning there is still a lot of hair to be found on the floor. 2. The main public area which is the kitchen is very small and crowded. Noisy too as loud music is being played most of the time. I could see the hostel put few seats in front of the elevator on each floor to compensate for that. Good effort. Thank you. This hostel would be my top choice now.

The place is okay. I had a good stay in my room. They’re kinda strict with check out time tho. Few minutes before check out time at 11, the staff went to the room to remind me I have to check out and I asked her for a few minutes because I had to shower. When I went back to the room, my key card doesn’t work anymore. They already locked it for me because it’s check out time. I won’t go back to this hostel. Tho I had good breakfast at Howm.

This place is one of a kind, it has such a homey vibe. I met some of the most amazing travelers there! Thanks for the wonderful stay, I truly enjoyed it

Nice dorm beds with privacy curtains and lockers. Decent and ample showers. Bit noisy from Flinders St and room was pretty hot. Good central location though.
