I’m still dreaming about my stay at Brewery Gulch Inn—it was that special. From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed the cozy elegance of the property. The setting is stunning: perched above Smuggler’s Cove with views that honestly don’t look real (sunsets from their outdoor deck are next-level). We were informed that the inn was built with reclaimed redwood from the nearby Big River. Loved that tidbit. The Great Room, where folks gather for meals or just to read or play a game of Scrabble (on their oversized board, which we did) is such a beautiful space (good for the soul!), and the rooms themselves are spotless, serene, and come with all the thoughtful touches you hope for but rarely find. But the real standout for us was the food. The made-to-order daily breakfast was incredible, and the wine hour/light dinner was far more gourmet than we expected—fresh, seasonal, and clearly prepared with love -- and even better -- served in the cutest "Mendo" Boxes (Bento-style) that are made from the same reclaimed redwood as the inn. We also appreciated how eco-conscious the property is. It feels good to support a place that genuinely cares about its guests and the environment. Highly recommend this for couples, solo travelers looking to recharge, or anyone needing a peaceful escape. We’ll absolutely be back.

My fiancé and I were seeking a serene, accessible escape before the arrival of our baby. Mendocino's promise of fresh air, stunning scenery, and tranquility made it the ideal choice. Brewery Gulch Inn was an absolute gem. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the inn's charm and ocean views. Our room, the Raven, was a cozy sanctuary perfect for relaxation. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the nightly appetizers were a delightful surprise. A highlight was our day hike in Mendocino Headlands State Park followed by indulgent massages. The prenatal massage was a blissful experience, thanks to Rebekkah and the amazing Neemah skincare products. The Babymoon Package was perfect. From the massages to the thoughtful amenities, it catered to our needs as expecting parents. We felt truly cared for. We can’t wait to return with our little one to create new memories at this special place. Top notch hospitality, a beautiful setting, delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Lookout room at the Inn overlooking Smugglers Cove. Very private and quiet. The happy hour wine and appetizers in the evening are far more than advertised; the food is actually a dinner! And the best we had- better than our meal at Trillium which is so highly regarded. The made to order breakfasts are also delicious. We cannot wait to return.
