Globales Cala'n Bosch

Myself, wife and 3 year old daughter stayed in this hotel from the 30th May to the 7th June. The hotel is lovely, very clean and in a very good location with access to a lovely beach and close to the Marina. We stayed on the 4th floor with a sea view room (see image) and what a great view it was. The room was a decent size and very clean (this was also cleaned every day which was really appreciated), we had a little mini fridge and a safe which we didnt use as the hotel was wanting to charge over 30 euros to use this. The food was decent not always hot but it was okay, always plenty of choices so can't complain and this was always labelled in English as well as Spanish, Italian and French. Beer, wine, soft drinks and water on tap at meal times which was very handy and also coffee in the mornings. The cleaners, waiters and bar staff are amazing and such a credit to this hotel who are constantly working so hard and always with a smile, special mention to Ian who always went out of his way at meal times especially with the children (Thank you). The hotel has 2 pools the big main pool which was constantly busy and the children's pool with slides and advertised as a splash pool but whilst we was there this was not turned on once all week which made the slides impossible for my daughter or anyone to slide down unless you poured a bucket of water down which helped a little. The biggest downside to this hotel is the fact that the English tourists are made to feel unwelcome at times by the animation team which is by a company called Bravo, they do not make the effort with the English guests and this is noticeable as soon as you arrive as all the English guests recieve a Blue wrist band and the Italian and French guests recieve a Orange/White wrist band and also recieve a big welcome upon arrival and are dropped off at the entrance of the hotel and not across the road like we was with 3 suitcases, pushchair and a 3 year old. The Bravo team are made up of Italian and French which was very upsetting and frustrating for myself and my 3 year old daughter who was desperate to get involved and even though she would get on stage and dance not once did the team speak to her or make the effort until the very last night, everything was always explained in French or Italian apart from the odd English song. We did have 2 really good evenings when a really good female group came and sang for the evening and also a circus duo act which were both very enjoyable. TUI stated that this hotel had a kids club and kids mini disco which is true apparently but how can you send your daughter to a kids club or mini disco when she doesn't speak Italian or French and none of the Bravo team speak English, as mentioned earlier if your wrist band was Orange or White this was a Bravo wrist band hence the reason you would be ignored if it was Blue. The issue I have is that we feel this has been advertised incorrectly on the TUI website because we had no splash park, definitel

Hotel is in a great location, very close to marina, clean and comfortable rooms, we were poolside fantastic view of pool & sea , food was great plenty of choice although we ate out in the evenings, pool area lovely plenty of sun beds, friendly staff, would definitely return to stay at this hotel

This hotel caters for French and Italian mainly. The entertainment team ignore you if you are English. To start they put us in a room in the low levels it was awful. It felt like you were in a small box. We asked to move and we could but had to pay 140 euros. I soon got onto the rep who messaged her manager to get a refund for the 140 euros. The next issue was the children’s pool. They didn’t turn on the water slides all week. Until they were showing holiday reps around from holiday companies. The hotel first said there were not enough children, then they said there was a leak, then they said the water was brown. There were a lot of children who were disappointed that the pool was not working correctly, but the worse thing was having it switched on at 5pm to show the holiday companies for 4 hours while we were getting ready to have dinner in the evening. I did email our tour operator (Tui) we are waiting for a response. The food was edible although we ate out a couple of nights around the marina. It’s best to go self catering don’t waste your money at this hotel on all inclusive. The staff who work in the hotel are pleasant apart from the entertainment team. My grand daughter felt that she couldn’t join in the kids disco and mini club as they only spoke Italian , French and Spanish and felt left out. Cala en Bosch itself is a lovely place to visit but please use another hotel.

My honest review. Nice hotel, big and spacious. Rooms basic but clean. Me and my husband stayed a week in May, absolutely fantastic location right On top of the beach. 5 minutes away from marina, cafes & gift shops. We had a very chilled out time. Mostly adults, not a lot of children. ( might change in school holidays) mostly older couples. Very relaxed vibe. Mostly French people staying at this hotel, not many English people. Beds comfy, shower powerful. The only thing I didn’t like was the food. Everything was cold. By the end of the week I was fed up with it. They don’t keep the food hot. I don’t think the food was anything special. Very repetitive. This is the only thing that lets this hotel down. Soon as we arrived they asked for holiday tax money straight away, the welcome could have been friendlier I thought. All in all though a nice place to stay, a message for management please secure your umbrella’s when it’s windy. There was one occasion where one nearly fell on me. Your entertainment team are really nice. Very energised and friendly. Tip for other traveler's. Book room at the back of the hotel facing the beach. We was at the front of the hotel which was ok, but can get noisy deliveries etc.

Been coming here since 2009, apartments have been constantly comfy with regular improvements. Beds are good Restaurant food is alway well prepared and varied, none of us has ever had an upset stomach, sometime five of us for 3 weeks at a time. I estimate that between us that adds up to at least 150 weeks eating in the restaurant and no stomach problems, excellent food hygiene. The staff are great people, lots of new faces this year and some who we have known many years. Jose in marina pool bar really good barman. Fatima in restaurant TQM Jesús in recepción marina, perfect English and very helpful top man. A great place to relax and enjoy a holiday.

Booked last minute ; Having read other reviews I agree that TUI shouldn’t have this on their website . We were hotel side and wish we were over the road in the apartments where the poolside was quieter , we would have needed to walk over for meals but that would be fine . Hotel lovely especially M Carmen who goes above and beyond . Cleaners worked very hard thank you Kitchen staff were rushed off their feet checking and refilling . We ate all our meals there and I’m picky . We never had any cold or luke warm food unlike other reviews, maybe pot luck but we enjoyed it . Staff in restaurant always busy cleaning up and Michael on the door always welcomed us with greeted smile and even remembered our room number . We never saw any pushing in but you did need to look where you were going . It can get very busy but we would just sit in sight and wait until it quietens . Tui Rep was only there 1 hour a day and unless you want to spend money booking trips wasn’t interested (we had pre booked with our booking ) it’s a good thing we had no complaints , on the other hand if you have BRAVO REPS (Italian or french guests ) you get a welcome off your coach and refreshments waiting for you . They also see ‘their’ guests off even helping with cover when it rained . Bravo wrist bands mostly comfortable silky ones . We realised the Bravo team actually looked at what colour your band was and if it wasn’t a bravo (orange or white then you were ignored. . Only a few if that spoke English , children’s mini disco was all in Italian too . Would we return ? NO not because of the hotel /food or rooms but because of the divide and lack of involvement from Bravo . This is a Hotel for Italian & French and it’s obvious when around the pool especially . As a previous response stated they are Italian entertainers. Lots of lovely sites to see , if you do the half day boat ride it’s pointless getting off the boat as by the time you’ve walked the treacherous rock path (not for unable people ) it’s time to get back on the boat . The boat ride was lovely though . We were on the reception side which was very noisy at times with people chattering until early hours and coaches /people arriving and leaving . Air con was definitely a bonus . Towels supplied daily Poolside was very slippy with wet feet ! Safe 35 euros plus 10 you get back (little pricy I felt ) Excellent views of the sea & lighthouse .Hotel is so close to the beach which is very busy although I felt a little unsafe especially when entertainment was outside as anyone could walk in as no one ever manned the exit/Entrance to the beach . We also noticed waiting outside for our coach the Hotel does not fly an English flag . I think that summed it up for us ! I shall be feeding my responses to our local Tui store I also disagree with the main picture they use as we thought we were the apartment side. Tips ; learn to speak Italian if you are English before you go because we could hear the word English
