I guess I should start with the positive things about the hotel: the staff was nice, it was clean and fairly new. There were a couple of people at the front desk that were very nice, especially a lady that was there during the day. However, we had several problems while we were there: - the guy at the front desk kept telling us this is considered to be a “residential hotel”, even though their sign and advertising says Extended Stay. Apparently this means that they don’t supply anything in the room. - there are no pots, pans or other dishes like an extended stay usually provides. They expect you to buy them. Fortunately we had read about this in reviews so we knew what to expect. Other people weren’t so lucky. - there is no dish soap, or dish towels, provided. - in the bathroom, the only toilet paper we got was what was left on the roll. No extra toilet paper. We were staying over a week, so this was going to be a problem. - we were only given one small bar of hand soap. There was no soap provided for the shower. - we were given two bath towels and two facecloths, no hand towels. - there is no hair dryer in the bathroom. - the only other thing provided in the bathroom was a tiny bottle of shampoo. We were told that since it’s a residential hotel, housekeeping comes in only once every two weeks. That means that in the meantime, nobody will be coming in to give you more toilet paper, soap, fresh towels, change your sheets or empty your garbage. They charged us $2/day for linens and told us we could bring our dirty sheets and towels to the front desk and get clean ones, if we wanted to make our own bed. We could also go to the front desk when we needed toilet paper or soap. We didn’t relish the thought of having to go to the front desk all the time for these things, so we just bought our own. There is no coffee maker or kettle in the room. Coffee and hot water are provided in the lobby. After about 3pm they take away the paper cups, so you need to bring your own cup. The walls are very thin. I listened to a man having an argument with his significant other over the phone. I could hear every word. There is no dresser in the room. There are two drawers, we could put underwear and socks in those, but the rest of the clothes needed to be out in open cubes, which were part of the wall unit. Some extended stay hotels offer a breakfast, but not here. We heard some people complaining about this, but we knew not to expect it from reviews we read. If you want an extremely no frills, basic place to sleep, this is ideal for you.
