We arrived and no one was in the office. The sign on the hotel itself had a phone number and it didn't work. There was a note on the door with an emergency number for hotel guests if locked out. We left a message. Eventually the person who works at the desk must be staying in the hotel as he opened the door for us. The room was fine as we were just staying a night. A bit run down but clean. The town was nothing to speak of. We were the only people staying at the hotel. This was January which is NZ summer and we didn't realize that this is a ski town and full in their winter! I am sure it is a great place in ski season, we just chose wrong.

Arrived. No staff. My room information stuck to window. Log in door to get in the lodge. Spa and sauna locked..no staff to ask about this. Nobody in the morning. One of the light in bedroom not working. Dont recommend at all.

Abouslty disgusting place to stay, mould and Mildew every where. The place stinks so bad. Someone turned up while we were there (no reception) and ask if they should stay and my answer was no. Contacted for a refund or reimbursement and was told 24 hours and still no reply. Dust for miles, if you asthma, stay well away. Mens toilets were out of service and we couldnt access the lounge or the spa. The sauna smelt like someone died in there. The floors were so dirty that flannel was black. There was no milk and no toilet paper available. There was also no soap! We were the only people there, despite the website saying nearly sold out Will continue to post everywhere until the matter is settled. Wouldn't recommend at all. Would love to post the photos I have kept and will post on other sites. Seems like HEALTH AND SAFETY need to be contacted.

A disappointing stay
A strange place. Initially when we arrived there was no one present so we couldn’t get in. I managed to find a lady in the kitchen and she called someone who came and booked us in. It turned out that we were the only two people staying there so after 5:30pm it was just us. The whole place wasn’t particularly clean but our room was fine and the bed was uncomfortable. This is a ski resort and we were out of season, however it was advertised as having a hot tip and a sauna, neither of which were available. It should also have come with breakfast included but there was no one at the property in the morning, so that wasn’t an option either. I’m sure it’s great in the winter but we were disappointed

Probably our fault
We were the only people in this hotel. I thought it had closed when we showed up. It was locked. Yes it was 12:30 and check in at 2:00 but locked. There was a bell to ring which we did twice and no response. The door had a phone number on it to call if need be. Well I was now just about end of phone battery so went next door at 2:30 as still no response with bell. Next door was kind to let me use their phone to call the "call if needed" and it was answered and we came back and he opened the door. My fault because this is a ski town and it is summer so few people around.

We stayed in the campground after looking at the photos on the website. The place promises a spa and sauna, no mention on the website of it costing anything. When we checked in we were told it was $20 for 20 minutes to use both and we had to make a booking. We went to relax in the "comfortable lounge with roaring wood burner," to be told it was for lodge guests only. There is no mention of this on the website. We were directed to a filthy, old, smelly lounge instead, which looked nothing like the photos. When we approached the staff member about this, she was abrupt and argumentative, saying the lodge was full (the lounge was empty.) The kitchen and showers were also filthy. I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. Great accommodation, perfect with kids. Fire place was a bonus!

Cold and unwelcoming! Disappointed at lack of facilities available !Lounge not open to get access to relaxed seating nor in the morning to get use microwave or crockery for breakfasts.Short on facilities in unit. Disappointed as seemed to be top $rate L.C.
