Mercure Grand Hotel Metz Centre Cathédrale

Entrance not particularly welcoming. Stayed in a privilege room. Not quite as good as other Mecure privilege rooms we’ve stayed in. Room was quite small in comparison but I suppose you are right in the city. It was ok but not amazing. The bed was comfortable. The drinks in the minibar were dented. The cups had to be cleaned before we could use them and the coffee maker leaked. Breakfast was ok but we had to move as we had a wobbly table. The staff were pleasant and helpful enough except for a lady about at breakfast. She didn’t seem to want to be there. I didn’t realise when booking there is a Mecure Metz Centre Hotel also which does look nicer.

One person serving reception and the bar at the same time from the same counter! First impression of this hotel is more like a backpackers hostel than a "Grand" Mercure. Hotel parking is a long way away, you end up pulling your suitcase up a cobble stone pedestrian mall. The privilege rooms are a bit smaller than other Mercure but ok. The hotel looks a bit tired.

Very convenient location at the city center. Cozy and modern with nice breakfast. Nearby to all city attractions, restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful to all our requests! Great recommendations where to eat and spend our day.

the rooms are very small but the location is in the super center. there is a park for kids to play few minutes from the hotel. Better being in the rooms facing the inside court and at the top floor because the Main Street is vert noisy.

The hotel is in a lovely location near the Cathedral in Metz. The slight issue we had was finding the car park nearby, as every road we wanted to go up was blocked as a pedestrian area - Not the Hotels fault, but worth knowing if you are going to visit here. The rooms we had were both Air Conditioned and beautifully appointed. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman on our arrival, who also looked after us on check-out. Overall a very nice hotel to stay, in the heart of this beautiful French city.

This hotel is new (I suspect taken over recently but mercies) so there are still things that unfinished. Our room was overlooking the street and on a Sunday night (holiday) was quite noisy. However it did not annoy us and we slept fine. The bedroom is comfortable, nice shower as well. The breakfast was also great. Stuff are very friendly. I have a feeling however that they are rushing to finish the hotel and some things are already falling apart and are quite cheaply done so interested to see how it actually ages. Otherwise it was all fine.

The location was ideal right in the center of town, close to everything, yet in a quiet courtyard, the breakfast was high quality and plentiful, and the front desk (Louis) was delightful and so eager to please. There’s a sweet little bar for a last minute nightcap. We highly recommend this hotel! (And, a plus - they stored our bikes while we lodged there!)

Nice hotel. Bed was comfortable. Room did not have much extra space. Bed, chair (uncomfortable), small round table (which blocked the room between the bed and the wall unless pushed in the corner). Not much room for suitcases. Would not recommend for a long stay, but seemed fine for a short one. Seemed clean. A little hard to find as the entrance is down an alley.
