Midgard

We had a great time, made some good core memories for my 6 year old. Dinner on the 31st was not to my expectations but overall the food, service and atmosphere were outstanding. I wanted to have a quiet evening in my room but my daughter wouldn’t let me, there were so many things to do. We will do this again.

The service provided was top -notch. Every detail was super from the welcoming to the reception. The room decor for our anniversary was something out of the books. JACO, JENNET, ROSELINE AND BELLA and the entire team of Midagrd you exceed my expectations. The private dinner on the patio to the friendly waiter and the chef food delicious and beautiful presented. The environment was welcoming and comfortable,with relaxing atmosphere that enchanced the overall experience. I highly recommend Midagrd to anyone looking for exceptional service and memorable expiernce. We will definitely be returning in the future. Keep up the good service. Mr & Mrs Eisebs

What a beautiful place Midgard is! Serene surroundings, excellent food, superb service (Kapere and Jan) has been the absolute best - friendly and always smiling. Made our stay remarkable. The suite we were in (corner left of the property as you enter) is the best spot to stay. You catch the morning and sunset rise - breathtaking. The game drive - Nicholas what a stella guy! Friendly and so knowledgeable. The amenities are top notch and there are so many child friendly activities to keep the kids busy. I must add a thought - that a warm pool would be ideal at night.

Where to start.. Our entire experience was nothing short of amazing. From a personalized welcome note upon arrival, to a different bouquet of flowers each morning for breakfast. The staff’s attention to detail was superb and our waiter Kapere saw to our every need. Everyone over were super friendly and Nicklaus our ranger for the game drive made our day out even more memorable with his vast knowledge of everything in the reserve. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend anyone looking to getaway from the busy city life to give Midgard a visit. We’re sad to leave but definitely will be back in the future.

Our stay at Midgard was wonderful - we arrived close to midnight and still the staff jumped up to help us with our luggage with smiles on their faces, happy to welcome us. Breakfast was included in our stay and the selection was great - a good mix of baked goods, breakfast parfait, and made-to-order eggs. The staff were able to provide information about the safety of the 3 nearby trails (one of which requires a guide due to the steepness, as well as wildlife), and the trails were great! Short and sweet (about 2km round trip), but beautiful views and the chance to see some African animals - I had a baboon pass me at the trailhead, and some others from our group saw Springbok. Midgard had everything our family needed and wanted - a safe and beautiful resort to start our trip in Africa!

The setting is exquisite and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic time. We did the horse riding which was wonderful. We did the skittle bowling which was super fun with a group. We found the restaurant and kitchen staff very helpful and accommodating. We also did a hike on one morning and this is the one area I think could use a bit of improvement as the "map" on the wall of the reception is not really enough to go on to find the routes. Our stay was outstanding and we highly recommend this magical place.
