From the moment you walked in the front door you could feel the history of the building. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. They still have actual keys for the rooms instead of the credit card type. I prefer the good old fashioned key. We stayed in 301, and it was very clean. The artwork and antiques just add to the charm. The bed was the most comfortable one I've slept in, including in my home. A feature of this hotel which I liked was that the rooms which were not occupied for the day were left open. Since each room is unique, it was nice to be able to look at different rooms to perhaps stay in a different one next time. Although the room overlooked the busy main street below, it was not noisy at all. They do not have their own parking lot. There is a shared lot right around the corner or you can park on the street in front. There is a shortcut through the backdoor of the hotel to the parking lot so it's not very far at all. I will certainly be back anytime I'm in the area.

For anyone riding the OET and looking for a cool and reasonably priced place to stay, this group of three southbounders highly recommend the Hotel Millersburg. We booked the 201 suite which allowed each of us our own room to sleep in. This is a beautiful historic space and endearingly quirky so if you want bland boring accommodations look elsewhere. A bonus is the secure bike storage area. The restaurant was closed but other options are nearby. This hotel is very convenient to the trail and the town is a lovely stop.

Some people like the predictability and consistency of chain hotels; others like the charm and character of boutique lodgings -- you probably know which category you fall into. This hotel is definitely in the latter category and many other reviews will fill you in on the details. Having spent one night here, there is one issue I wanted to highlight, though, for travelers making that decision. If you have allergies or respiratory issues, this is not the hotel for you. My room and those of others in my traveling party had HVAC issues. Each room is cooled by an individual window unit and in my room, there was no way to open a window. The unit in my room had an overpowering odor of mildew, so bad that I had to turn it off completely -- then the room was stuffy, with no way to air it out. There are also a lot of decorative objects in the rooms, corridors and public spaces which can attract dust. In sum, the indoor air quality is iffy at best. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to be accomodating and helpful. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants nearby. There are a lot of things to like about this hotel, but just go in with your eyes open.

We (bicycle touring group) have stayed here several times and each time they have treated us very nicely - with professionalism and looking to help and assist us (from booking to checking to departure). This is an older building (which means the rooms are not big wide suites as if you are at Disney). Stayed here the first time due to location but came back because of the great staff.

Beautifully restored hotel, antique feel, friendly and helpful staff. Went to the Cider Press for an excellent dinner just a short walk away. Definitely recommended. I would definitely stay there again. No free breakfast, but priced very reasonably. We found a nice coffee shop down the street for a good breakfast.

Open on Sunday- so we decided to eat lunch there. Good options on the menu, but a bit spendy. Waitress did not spread out customers, we were crowded in one area, chairs impacting baby strollers etc. Noise of whining , crying children was distracting and while I understand that comes with families- we could have been seated in different areas. Friendly service, good food, generous portions.

Wonderful old hotel in the middle of downtown Millersburg. Within easy walking distance to shops and the brewery. Easy driving to all that Holmes county has to offer. We have stayed there at least 3 times and it is always a great experience. We will be back when we need another Amish country “fix”. Love the location, antique furniture, stained glass windows, nice full service bar, and the peaceful atmosphere. Great staff that is helpful but unobtrusive. Prices are very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and stay there.

Our room was in the front of the hotel so it was never dark. Our room was serviced 2 out of 3 days ( we were there 4 nights so not counting day we left). Parking is a joke as it is a public city lot. The staff were pleasant and the room was clean. We won’t be back.
