Premier Inn Glasgow (Milngavie)

We booked as we were attending a wedding nearby. The hotel has reasonable prices. There was ample parking and it was quiet. We booked for early check in but this wasn't something reception appeared aware of or had prepared for albeit we got our room without issue when this was clarified. The rooms are dated. The bed was very comfy but there's repairs needed in rooms, some things looking a bit worn. It was clean though. The temperature in the room was unbearable. It was so hot overnight and there's no means of cooking this down particularly when the windows only open a little bit. We booked in for breakfast the next day. It seems this was not staffed properly and was disorganised chaos. Lots of dirty tables with plates on them. The cooked breakfast came out quick. Continental breakfast was fine too, but bread was stale. It wasn't awful, just very basic. I wouldn't rush back here again and would likely only book if there was nowhere else.

Typical Premier Inn. Excellent staff from receptionist to breakfast staff. Good value breakfast and one of the best beds around (we like them so much we bought one). Our room was ok , but they are now looking a bit dated. The big problem was the shower. It almost knocked me over and then was almost impossible to turn off.

Convenient for the West Highland Way Initial reception was fine, but was not staffed all of the time Room was fine The adjoining restaurant is one to avoid. The exterior and interior look tired, we arrived in the early evening and were told the chef was running behind, as far as I could see it wasn't all that busy, little food seemed to be sent to tables over the next hour. It took 30 minutes to place an order and another 30 minutes to get any food. The burger bun was burnt. Next morning there was no chef so it was continental breakfast only.

Stopped overnight before going to walk the Way with my son. The bags got picked up promptly immediately outside by Ginger Routes who were known to the staff and advised when and where they'd arrive. Short walk from the station then back again in the morning to the start. Good start to the day.

This Premier Inn is way below par and is in urgent need of a refresh, a management refresh that is. Room was musty and the desk and the promotional paperwork for the premises that sits on it under the TV was all sticky with spilled juice from previous occupants. Staff in the Reception could really not be bothered, the way they spoke to each other about previous guests who signed in ahead of us whilst we still stood there waiting to be served was rude. Breakfast was never happening, we were told to go to the Carvery next door for a continental breakfast as the Chef had called in sick. The piles of shrink wrapped Croissants and Pain Au Chocolate that were sitting the night before reappeared. Offering for breakfast was lukewarm coffee from a filthy coffee machine, dry croissants with absolutely no filling on offer, no Jams, no cold meats and no cheeses. No fruit was on offer apart from a couple of Green Bananas and cereals were limited to Coco Pops and other sugar infused options. 'Breakfast' as offered was passed. Complaint is on its way to Premier Inn.
