We were part of a big family group - 17 people, 3 generations, youngest member a toddler, the oldies in their 70's. We were cycling the Clutha Gold Trail. This motel was great. The rooms are a good size, the bed large and comfortable. clean and welcoming. The owners are very helpful and friendly. it is on the main road so we wondered if there would be traffic noise but it was completely quiet overnight. Secure lockup for bikes. I would highly recommend this..

Visiting Milton and stayed at the St John Motels very clean, tidy units nice and friendly management. Units well set up not keen on the bed but others could disagree with me. Overall enjoyed our stay and their four legged friend that visited us each morning.

This motel is a small town gem. It was very reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this motel. It even has all the sky channels we usually watch at home! The host at reception was very helpful answering my questions. St John's Motel has a comprehensive website with links to the local area. Check it out! Thanks for the glass bottle of milk! The unit was clean, warm and comfortable. The units are all very accessible downstairs units, which we appreciated with a shower cabinet to walk into. The water did not end all over the floor like some motel showers! This was also appreciated. We dined at the "Kink in the Road" restaurant within walking distance. This was a perfect place to dine. The food was tasty, the portions were generous and it was not too expensive.

I love the small town of Milton and the St. John’s Court Motel. The town is small, with warm friendly greetings. We were able to walk to the motel from the Intercity Bus stop. The two bedroom accommodation was cozy and beyond what we expected in terms of space and kitchen facilities. The owners, Eion and Bev, were fantastic hosts. When we could not find a driver to get us to our tourist sites, they graciously offered to drive us for a small cost to us. It was a perfect day, with a personal touch. I hope to return, using the motel as a base camp, as I further explore the area. They were in the process of building a bike storage area, with an e-charger, making touring on electric bikes easier.

Great stop on my way to The Catlins and home again. Lovely people running the place just wish the dog wasn’t always present coz not everyone likes them. Will stay again sometime in the future. ☺️☺️
