Fabulous outdoor on sen under the cave, delicious sashimi at dinner , but for brackfast menu need adjustment , most hot food are just warm and need menu in English & directory in English
How meaningful it was to stay at a hotel that had the tsunami rip through its lower levels. After the tsunami, the hotel opened its doors to survivors. They fed and entertained them. I liked waking up and gazing over the bay below, to the source of so much 2011 destruction. The view was wonderful as were the room extras of kimono and slippers. At the hotel we enjoyed the high onsen which was set outside with rocks and a view. The breakfast was very good. I am European so these following comments reflect my personal European views. The dinner meal candle meat burners barely cooked the beef and I didn’t like that the abalone or paua were alive without their shells and were slowed cooked on more candle burners.

The quality of service and onsen are the best and the story telling bus tour by the staff ( sad memories of earthquake in Tohoku ) is very unique and educational It became unforgettable experience I will come back soon thank u madam

A great resort-type hotel. An amazing view of the ocean wherever you go in the hotel. Very spacious hot spring baths and delicious local food! The hotel staff members were very friendly and attentive to guests. Difinitely go back there again.

The Kanyo hotel staff went out of their way to make it a memorable stay. The view is spectacular and to see the sunrise from the outdoor hot springs was breathtaking. Dinner menu offered a great variety of the locally grown vegetables and the freshly caught sea foods.
