Would not recommend at all. I feel bad writing this as the front desk ladies were so nice but the room was terrible. There was no other rooms available so we could not switch rooms. We have stayed here in the past and it was fine, but this time the carpet was all wet, the shower faucet was vibrating because it was detaching from the wall, the floor was moldy and the bathroom doors did not close. Beds were comfy though.

Always fantastic service from Donita. This Townplace Suites is the best place to stay short or long term when visiting the twin cities. We have had several family members stay for periods of over 1 month, as well as shorter stays for a few days to a week. It is very centrally located and a great home away from home if you are doing renovation work or need a place to stay for a few nights between accommodation.

I've stayed at this hotel 7 times in the past year because of a family emergency. It's practical because there is a workspace and a kitchen. But this recent stay will be my last. I was in the middle of my father's dying, had food in the refrigerator preparing for Thanksgiving, had my "office" set up to work away from home when I come in one evening to find out that they are starting a roofing project the next morning at 8:00am. I have to be in online meetings the next three days so I said "no way can I stay on the 3rd floor with roofers overhead." So at 9:00 at night after being at my father's bedside, I am shuffling all my stuff to a lower level. I ended up in a room next to the elevator that was actually filthy. The worst time to being going through an upheaval like this. And I expect I'll be waking up to noise at 8:00 am.

I’m totally baffled as to why this hotel has a high ranking on both Marriott and TripAdvisor. While I wasn’t expecting anything fancy (knowing it’s a lower level MARRIOTT) this didn’t meet my already low expectations. The room looked like it was straight out of the early 90’s. The bath tub was covered in mildew and the towels looked dirty. The parking lot was also poorly lit with lots of people just hanging out. I wouldn’t be surprised if this property is torn down within a few years and replaced with a higher end hotel. It’s a great location but definitely not well maintained.

We stayed 2 nights. The first night we had people next to us that were partying finally at 12:30 AM. I called the front desk and the lady said I will be up to take care of it. 20 minutes later I get a call back and said she had a complaint on us. I said excuse me I’m the one that called him. Oh I’m sorry and she hung up at 2:30 AM. They finally stopped. Once again, Saturday night was the same replay as Friday night and the noise continued until 3 AM. We went down to eat Sunday morning for breakfast. There was no coffee, no eggs, no meat. I went to the front desk. There was no one there. I had to walk into the back and found a lady in the back and she said sorry I’m the only one here and said I will get it out as soon as I can. We went back to our room and packed up and had to leave with no breakfast. I called the hotel manager Brenda and she said oh I fired the night girl and sorry about no breakfast. She said she would credit me for one night as of 21 days later I still have no credit I’ve called the corporate office yesterday and they said they would be back in touch with me 24 hours later I’ve never heard from anyone. And needless to say, I am a platinum elite member.

A solid B+ hotel which is not an insult: they do so much that's very good. Sure, the decor isn't the latest. But there's enough newer touches to make any HGTV enthusiast happy. And they have bathtubs! REAL bathtubs! Impeccably clean. And best of all, a very good breakfast array. Many hotels say "free breakfast" but it's all carbs, no protein. Here, they have protein! In cage-free scrambled eggs and a small quiche-like muffin, and often chicken sausage. There's also a toaster where you can toast English muffins or bagels or bread. Waffles are pre-made. Cereal, oatmeal, packaged muffins (try the little chocolate ones, out of this world!), and a variety of juices. When you're traveling, these extras make a difference. One big failing: the towels are NOT cotton. They are this soft material that makes you think "polyester", which is NOT absorbent. Big fail! Every other TownePlace Suites I've stayed at has cotton towels - highly absorbent, almost scratchy towels. Make that change here, and you'll move right up to an A score!

My wife and I stayed at this location one night, July 11-12, 2022. We were totally impressed. Of all the places we stayed during our 6,000-mile "road trip" vacation (other than at friends' homes), it was clearly our best lodging. The room was spacious and unusually well-furnished; it would also serve well for an extended stay of several days or weeks. All amenities were superb. The breakfast was outstanding. All staff were friendly and courteous, and genuinely so. We saw signs of occasional, unexpected personal touches throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

We received outstanding service by Ms. Kate Severson, Assistant General Manager. She called 6 other Marriott hotels for us to obtain a crib for our granddaughter rather than the Pack and Play that was too small. The hotel is conveniently situated and comfortable.
