Motel 6 Mitchell, SD

It was good for what it is. The staff (front desk) was very friendly. The room was clean. The outside could use some attention as there were weeds grown up. There were a couple of rooms / an area that it looked like people were living there. It served it's purpose as a place to stop and sleep for 1 night. The sheet had an old (I hope) stain that I didn't see until the next morning. Overall it was okay, but could use some TLC.

If you understand Motel Six is just the basics, the stay was okay. The room was overall very clean and had the furnishings needed. The TV worked and the bed did the job. We had hot water in the sink but not in the shower where I found cold to slightly warm water. As we pulled the blanket back on the first bed, we spotted a cigarette burn in the sheets. This would be an easy fix. Travel safe….

Beds not clean there were stains on sheets and one bed was rumpled like some one slept in it the other had a big urine stain on the bottom sheet. The windows were unlocked which alot of hotels do, making us think either someone climbed through the window to stay without paying or the room was just made over without cleaning . The floors were sticky and our shoes stuck to the floor while walking making weird noise.

I would of done 5 stars but sadly upon arrival we found that the pool was empty and appeared to have been out of use for probably 6 months at least. The room was absolutely clean and well stocked and updated. Was traveling with family on our way back to Minnesota from Montana and out of all the motels we stayed at this was the best sleep and for the price you cannot go wrong and conveniently next to I-90 as well. Second time staying here in the last 12 years

Stayed here in a pinch on our way out west. Low price and fine accommodations. Small rooms, especially the shower and bathroom, but the shower is hot. Hot coffee available in the morning. Rooms were clean enough. Don’t expect too much, it gets the job done.

This was part of our haul-butt cross-country road trip with two dogs and this was our last stop before our final destination. We only stay at Motel 6's when we travel with our dogs. I thought this location was just fine (slightly better than our last one) but the other person with me thought the bathroom was gross, with the brown trails running down from the vents and the floors not seemingly been swept or vacuumed so well. I'm always whatever about Motel 6's - they get the job done, when you have 2 dogs, and you pay next to nothing (don't remember the exact cost but we booked less than 2 hours prior and it was less than $100) so I don't get bent out of shape as to the condition of the room. You should know what you're getting (more or less). The one 'funny' thing was, the attendant held up a sign for me to read and acknowledge about not letting our dogs poop/not pickup said poop in front of the rooms by the pool and that they would know since there were security cameras. But there was poop already there so either it was bad enough that they finally had to do it or people were still doing it and not caring. Either way, they weren't in any hurry to clean it up!
