Sorrel River Ranch Resort

This place was amazing and every way. The beds were comfortable. The staff was amazing across-the-board. We had the greatest experience at this location. I would highly recommend Staying in the suites it was very comfortable and quiet. Taren and Megan were so fun and really made this trip for us in the restaurant. Rooms were kept up without any issue. Cleaning staff replaced everything daily without fail. Would highly recommend this place!

This place far exceeded our expectations! So much so that I feel like the business person and me wants to help the owners really get this place promoted and have a two-year waitlist but then I plan on coming back so maybe I don’t want to do that? Anyway, I will admit I was a little bit skeptical and nervous that I was paying this much per night until we got here and then I understood what all the fuss was about. It’s hard to put into words, but there’s no way you could have this kind of experience staying in town or really anywhere else. The staff really took care of every detail and catered to whatever we wanted. Everything was clean and well cared for and it’s like they thought of everything. We were blown away!

Such a fun 4 day get away with family and friends for a wedding. A beautiful resort about 30 min away from town, close to hiking trails. I loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Moab it has become so busy lately. You are close enough to drive into town but far enough away that once you are on the ranch you feel like you are away from everything. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin right on the river, the room was nice and clean. I thought the beds were comfortable. My 4 year old son loved being able to see the horses, chickens, goat and pony right on the ranch. We would walk to them each morning to say hello. Breakfast was delicious, Suzette our server was attentive and helpful. We also walked out to the JJ Mercantile store one morning and did breakfast there, its a nice quick way to grab a bite. Orlando the food and beverage manager was also very attentive and nice at dinner. They have a nice gym that has everything you would need for a great workout and big windows for a nice view. At night there are firepits right outside the cabins on the river where you can roast marsh mellows, we had an amazing weekend and would stay again.

Beautiful setting and very relaxing, but staffing is a real issue and made the experience chaotic and weird. Definite not up to the level you’d expect for the money. Aman has set the standard for the high end small resort and SRR needs to be retooled or sold to an operator like Aman that can staff and run it properly.

Staff was attentive and knowledgable. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming as well. Great place to go and be part of the natural world, so many great activities from horseback, to UTV to hiking. Amazing food onsite as well. Thank you to everyone at the ranch!

We were extremely disappointed with Sorrel River Ranch in Moab. We had been told how wonderful it was, and the location certainly is beautiful. The price is exorbitant. However, there are literally no services offered. It appears that most of the staff has left and even when we asked to speak to the manager to Better understand what was happening… He did not respond. There was a wonderful new cook who had just arrived the week before and he was doing his best to make up for what clearly was a lack of employees. We paid over $1000 a night and there was , no way that we should’ve paid more than $350 a night. Again, this is a beautiful area but I don’t think this hotel should be able to get away with this charge. I hope they can get it together before anybody else signs up.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sorrel River Ranch. From the easy check-in and reservation with Monique, to the wonderful service from Megan at the bar and pool to the great service at dinner from Tabi! The rooms are comfy and the view of the Colorado river with the red rock background are spectacular. We found everything delivered by the new chef to be fresh, excellently prepared and tasty. We looked at staying in Moab but being a bit further out allowed for a scenic drive to mountain biking each morning and a great opportunity for star gazing. We would highly recommend SRR as your home base while in Moab.

We stayed for one night and had been so looking forward to it. The location is amazing and our room was fantastic. The staff at reception were really friendly as was the server in the Epic bar. We had booked dinner for 8.30 - not late considering the restaurant is open until 9. We actually arrived shortly after 8.15 having been for a drink in the bar. Unfortunately our dining experience was awful. The three other tables who were dining there all had finished by 8.45 and we really felt as if we were imposing on the kitchen staff. The chef came out to engage with the other tables but not us. Our server acted as if we were imposing on her when she wanted to finish for the night. She was asking if we wanted anything else before my wife had finished her main course. When we asked for the dessert menu the server’s expression gave away her annoyance that we didn’t want to leave. So very disappointed with the whole experience. This is not a cheap location and we expected such better service from dinner. If you are quiet and don’t want to keep the kitchen open then say the dinner hours are shorter. Don’t give the paying customers attitude. Our dinner ruined our whole stay

Can’t beat the scenery and the on siterestaurant food is amazing. 7th trip staying here and it never disappoints. Staff is always friendly and welcoming everywhere you go on property. Go play in Moab all day then come back to Sorrel River Ranch and enjoy more great scenery and the peaceful nature of the river flowing by while you’re taken care of by a staff that seems to enjoy where they get to work.
