We have spent quality time for the second time at the lovely, well run Monte Vista Boutique Hotel at Montagu. This is without doubt one of the finest establishments of its kind in the Western Cape. All units are very tastefully - and intelligently - appointed, you can clearly see the handwriting of the charming and hands-on owner-architect Amike. The mattresses and the bedding are absolutely top notch, very comfortable and luxurious. We slept like babies. Then the lovely garden and pool, what a nice surrounding to relax and recharge. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had, the waiter was warm and professional at the same time, and we had the chance to exchange ideas with the owner, who is constantly putting so much love and effort into this house, clearly the project of her heart! All in all, there is nothing to fault, we shall not only be back, but we shall recommend this wonderful house to our friends as well.

The Monte Vista Boutique Hotel was an absolute gem. It has simply stunning interior decor and is in a superb location within Montagu, just steps away from the church and three doors down from the best restaurant -- 22 Church! Also, the hotel has a delicious breakfast in the morning! Thank you, Amike, for being so accommodating.

We were 7, 4 adults and 3 kids and shared 2 rooms. The quality of the rooms was excellent, the breakfast top class, beautiful area for running, cycling and horse riding

Liked · The location is very good in the center of Montagu. The hotel is a boutique hotel with nice design, a nice garden and pool. The check-in process was very good, the room spacious. All the employees were very friendly. Breakfast is served personally. We got good information on hiking options and a heritage tour in the hotel. Disliked · Finding the hotel with GPS was difficult, there is no signage of the hotel in Montagu. According to Google the hotel is located in Bergsig, Bergsig is the next town after Montagu. This is confusing and should be changed, the hotel is in Montagu. I explained the issue to the manager.

our stay was wonderful! we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, perfect garden and pool, very comfy beds and the tasty breakfast. Not to forget Monte Vista Boutique Hotel is in walking distance to very good restaurants. Highly recommend, we can´t wait to come back on our next trip!

We had a beautiful, tastefully decorated room. The service was excellent. The hotel offers a very good breakfast. Restaurants are within walking distance. There is a large pool in a beautifully landscaped garden. Parking spaces are available on the premises. A clear recommendation!

Actually, we did not stay in the Monte Vista Hotel but at Airlies guesthouse that belongs to the same owners and is located in the same property. Everything was perfect but, at this level of price, the room should be equipped with AC as temperatures can be really high in summer there (and they were during our stay!)

This Boutique Hotel is perfectly located to explore everything Montague has to offer. The gardens are immaculatly kept and very inviting. The room is spacious with coffee station and large en-suite bathroom. The lights and wifi are provided on a back-up system during loadshedding which is a really appreciated. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was scrumptious and served by the friendly staff. I highly recommend a stay at Monte Vista for a relaxing, treat-time !

We were a group of nine people and had a very fantastic stay. The rooms were a mastepiece and the food great. All the staff went above and beyond in making our stay pleasant. Will be returing forsure to visit the beautiful town of Montagu again.
