Best hotel of our trip to Italy! From our room’s balcony, the view of the town and nearby vineyards was amazing. The owners were so helpful and even organized a taxi to meet us upon our arrival at Montepulciano Stazzione as well as giving us a recommendation for a Tuscany tour guide. Breakfasts were delicious, too. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

It was the most palatial room we have ever stayed in. 15 foot high beamed ceiling, arched entry into sitting room with awesome view, large, modern bathroom. Great location right at the top of town. Gorgeous breakfast room with classic meat, cheese, pastries and good espresso. Yes, I was nervous about driving into Montepulciano and parking right in the Piazza Grande, but as it turns out that's what all the locals do, no big deal. Once we unloaded our suitcases Google directed us back to the parking lot just a few blocks away where there was reserved parking. However, next time we will simply pack an overnight bag and walk up from the parking lot. BTW since we were there at the end of the Bravio delle Botti, we were treated to the best display of flag throwing that I have ever seen.

I almost hate to share just how wonderful this hotel is .Excellent location just off the square. Upon arrival, we greeted warmly by the receptionist who offered suggestions for dinner and made reservations for us. When she showed us to our room, my jaw dropped. The balcony had a breathtaking view of the town as well as hillsides, olive groves, and other distance hill towns. I could have spent the next 3 days on the balcony and never regretted it. The room was huge, immaculate, with a good sized bathroom, and comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was served in a nice cozy spot with an ample selection of baked treats and the best pecorino cheese ever! The entire hotel was stunning with terraces, soaring ceilings, and a lovely little rooftop terrace, great for a bottle of wine near sunset. Almost forgot to mention how quiet it is. We had to leave early to return our car in Florence before catching a flight. The staff graciously came in early to make sure we had breakfast before departing.

Our stay at Il Riccio was wonderful. We booked room 32 which had a balcony and endless views. The room and views were both beautiful! The hotel is in the heart of Montepulciano, just a few steps from Piazza Grande, so convenient to walk anywhere. The three nights we spent were our favourite during our visit to Italy. The hotel is quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. They also serve a lovely breakfast for a small fee and it was perfect for us to start the day. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! We can’t wait to come back next time we travel to Italy ❤️.

We had a wonderful time! Tremendous location in town and everyone who worked there was helpful and friendly. One window opened Tuscany and the other looked onto the rooftops of the old city. Walk the city and stop to drink the local wines while eating a bowl of pasta

Beautiful and impeccable hotel at the top of Montelpuciano. We had a fabulous 5 night stay. All the amenities you will need and probably not a better place to stay in the city. Ask for a balcony room and you will have a Wow experience when you see the view! The hosts were gracious and kind and they offer an amazing breakfast option. We will definitely be back!
