Stelle di Monte

I stumbled upon this small family owned hotel while researching our 10th anniversary trip to Italy. We wanted to spend some time in the Tuscan hill towns, and chose Montepulciano as our base. WOW!! I cannot say enough about this hotel. Nathalie and Igor have a slice of heaven here. They greeted us upon arrival and Igor gave us a thorough tour with history of the property and it's restoration. They poured their heart and soul into this place and it does not go unnoticed. Every detail is amazing! The views of Montepulciano cannot be beat and we enjoyed sitting out back and relaxing to take it all in. The room was by far the nicest with comfortable bed, spacious bath, shower and tub. There is in room coffee and they provided a bottle of wine for our stay. Breakfast is included with room rate and it is amazing with fresh juice, coffee and pretty much anything you would want. If you go, DO NOT MISS the dinner that Igor prepares, as it was the best dinner we had in all of Italy!! The hospitality shown by Nathalie and Igor made us feel like family. I would not hesitate to book this hotel every time we go to Italy.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Stelle De Monte is an absolute dream and a must have to visit. Every part of this location is beautiful from the grounds, to the owners, to the food to the views. You will not be disappointed because everything is absolutely perfect. do not miss a stay here. We stayed in the grotto which was such a stunning. The room is pristine, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is gorgeous. Thank you Nathalie and Igor, we will definitely be back.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at Stelle di Monte. Nathalie and Igor are truly to best hosts in this intimate setting amongst friends. The views, the food, the decor and amenities, everything was perfection. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer! We cannot wait to return next year.

Wonderful! This boutique hotel has everything you would want when visiting Tuscany: Views of the surrounding valley with the city of Montepulciano up on the crest are breathtaking, service is personalized, and the food, delicious. Our room was delightful, pristine clean and ready for us when we got there. Breakfast was made to order with fresh local ingredients, dinner was sublime with the specialties of the region. There is a sophisticated wine selection. It is a brief car ride to Montepulciano, but walkable as well. Nathalie and Igor are engaging and gracious hosts. We can't wait to go back!

We stayed at Stelle di Monte for three nights at the tail end of our Italy tour and it was by far the best experience we could have asked for. Let me begin by saying how absolutely lucky we are to have found this gem, all of the five-star reviews are well deserved and more. The love and attention the Nathalie and Igor pour into this property is overflowing and can be felt by everyone who stays here. The hotel itself is in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, with gorgeous views from every angle, but truly the best part of our stay with the hospitably provided and how we were treated not just as guests but as friends. Prior to arriving at the property Nathalie was always easily reachable and communicative though the booking process, she also provided us a list of recommendations for restaurants, wineries, and activities to do in the area (absolutely must use there are so many great recommendations on this). Once we arrived Igor greeted us personally with a glass of wine in the cellar and walked us around the property, explained the history of the renovations, and showed us to our room. We had dinner on site the first night there and it is a must do while staying here! The food was delicious (lots of truffle!), and they had many local wines on their wine list, some of the vineyards we got to visit later on in our trip! Nathalie and Igor also personally ran the dinner and breakfast services and were always available to chat about anything you needed. At the end of our stay Nathalie also helped us with organizing our return taxi to the train station and even waited with us while they were running late to ensure we would make our connection on time; truly amazing hospitably to the very last minute we left. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is a must stay in Montepulciano! Hopefully one day we will be lucky to return; best of luck on all future endeavors to Nathalie and Igor and Stelle di Monte!!

Nathalie & Igor go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and at home at their beautiful Stelle di Monte! The views are gorgeous, and the attention to detail impeccable! We couldn't wait to be served an incredible breakfast each day by these lovely hosts. Their property is so picturesque overlooking the hills of Montepulciano. We can't wait to come back!
