Monterey Beach Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel recensioner

Everything was good except the fact of someone pounding on my door at 1:00am then they took off! It was ridiculously unacceptable as they think it’s funny! Other then that, the view of the beach from our room was spectacular. Well worth the cost. Checking in/out was quick and easy.

We got married at this hotel, 10 years ago and decided to celebrate our 10 year anniversary here last week. The lobby check in and bar redone beautifully under the new ownership name. The rooms were horrible. The furniture bathroom floor and carpet were disgusting. The bathroom curtain was falling off and we crossed our fingers, hoping to have a curtain for the two days we were there. the carpet from the room to the bathroom was frayed and pulled up and if we were not tripping on it, we would step on it and it would poke us and cut our feet. I am glad we did not bring kids because there was so many people smoking **** that it was in the air. We have stayed in Monterey at other hotels for half the cost and had a much better experience.

it's a great environment for families and friends. right on the beach. it is windy so come prepared with cold weather clothing. can't wait to go back

Enjoyed every night here. Complimentary adult beverage at the bar first night stay of the hotel was nice. But the best part was knowing 24 hr beach access right in front of our room was the best decision I ever made. Views were great. Not too far from down town. Definitely would recommend.

Great location, didn’t use much of the facilities, it was only a 2 night stay to see the aquarium. It was worth the extra few bucks to have the great beach access and the outdoor shower to rinse off before going back to the room.

Erika makes fire bloody Mary’s The service was excellent! Hotel view was absolutely stunning , Hands down! When I visit Monterey again , Trust I will ! This will be my go to spot! Visit them, they will not disappoint ! Love Love Love ! The Best!

Can you do a 10 star review on here? Yes the hotel location is incredible and the rooms are super chic and at the price point are way beyond worth it. The shining star at this Hotel though is the bar/restaurant and yes, the food is great. The bar is excellent and they have a really really good selection of wine even though I’m not a wine connoisseur I still enjoyed everything that I had. Here’s the thing the servers and bar/restaurant staff that they have are the type of people that you would expect and Michelin star restaurant. They know exactly when and when not to talk to you, they know when and when not to ask you about how the food is. After sitting in here for a couple hours well, I had dinner and a couple glasses of wine. I really watched the people working here and they are some of the most hard-working people that I have ever seen. Specifically, my server Kimmy, the bartender Erika and their runner DJ Were the people that impressed me the most. I would come back here specifically to hang out in the bar and have dinner again because of them. As a side note I stayed here a few months ago when the hotel was still under renovations, and at that time, yes, there were some rough edges, but it is still very pleasant experience. I work in construction so going in I knew that there were to be some things that we weren’t ideal, Nonetheless, I went to the bar/ restaurant and Again, it was my favorite part of my stay and what’s funny is Kimmy was my server then as well I think her service back then may have I take that back did influence my decision to come back and stay again. Anyway, highly recommend the hotel but if you’re gonna stay here go and have a few drinks and dinner in the bar and spend your extra money on your tips to Kimmy and her crew.
