This hotel is in the perfect location on the trail with gorgeous views from the rooms, pool and restaurant. The walk up to the hotel is steep but the hotel will pick you up in their shuttle anytime you want. The staff are so helpful and friendly- they really couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious- there wasn’t anything more you could want. The beds were comfortable and the shower is powerful. Monterosso itself felt less crowded than the other villages and is larger so we appreciated coming back there after fighting through crowds in the other villages. The meal that we had in the restaurant was the best meal we had during our trip and the setting is just beautiful. The pool is heated and the bar staff make excellent cocktails which they will bring to your sunlounger. The jacuzzi is lovely to soothe the muscles after the steep hill climbs!

If you are staying in Cinque terre, this is the place to stay -Location is incredible with the best views overlooking so much - Nicest pool location and relaxing overlooking the sea snd village -The service there is amazing with a willingness to help - easy hotel shuttle to get down or up the hill if you don't want to walk. - but Luigi the local taxi driver we used after parking the car is truly insane and hysterical with his driving is just crazy Really a must stay in this area

AHHHmazing! My wife and I stayed with our 2 adult children. We took two of the Top Junior Suites with Sea View. They are more expensive, but SOO worth it. As other reviewers have pointed out, the hotel is a bit dated in parts, but these rooms (there are only 3) are on the top floor and are recently renovated. Pay for the modern, the rain shower, free unlimited mini bar, biggest balcony with 2 lounge chairs, a table and umbrella. Trust me, it will be worth it. The pool is even better in person that website and the service was incredible. Each day after hiking our day at beach (where you have you own private section and access which is so cool) we would stop by pool and hang out, lay out and drink Prosecco in the pool. The breakfast as all reviews indicate is incredible and honestly our best meal for dinner was in the hotel restaurant. You can't beat this place in all of Cinque Terra in our opinion. Absolutely the best and if we ever return this area, there is no doubt it will be here.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights at Hotel Porto Rico. It was amazing! The hotel is beautiful and the views from our room and the pool were stunning. All the staff were very friendly. Isabella at the reception was wonderful and Ricardo at the pool made our vacation so fun and memorable. It is a short walk into the old town of Monterosso which is a must to visit. I will be back.

For the view it’s unbeatable . The view from the dining room and pool area is amazing. The front desk staff is excellent and food is good. It falls short in customer service around the pool. Be prepared to constantly flag the staff down. My major complaint is the bedding and bed. The bed is very hard as is the pillows. The bedding is very tired and the comforter minimal . These items need refreshing! I agree with another review that the couches do look pretty ratty . Time for some upgrades based on price. You are paying for location !

The perfect place in Monterrosso. Superb and attentive staff, lovely swimming pool, brilliant restaurant, and some of the best views you’ll ever see anywhere. The walk up the hill to the hotel is not for the faint hearted but well worth the reward of staying there

Lovely hotel! We were here for a wedding and we had an amazing time! The view is breathtaking. The pool is fun and breakfast is very good and has a lot of selection for everyone! The way to the hotel is very steep so you don't want to do it a lot in one day. But it's worth it because of the view :)

Very nicely decorated rooms, amazing bathroom, comfy bed and fluffy pillows, offering all comforts and amenities, amazing sea view from the room, very nice breakfast with tasty croissants of all species, waffles and pancakes. Days in pool pass by easily when looking at such an awesome view. However, the price per night is quite expensive that's why we only booked it for two nights, also food and cocktails are quite expensive too but this is a general remark of all restaurants around cinque terre. Furthermore, Nescafé is available in the room instead of espresso which is unacceptable for Italy.
