Very friendly staff. Excellent food. Beautiful spot on the beach. Lots of monkeys and birds. Nice trail on, and just off the beach. Nice waterfall nearby. Great Snorkeling day tour. The only negative was the temperature was 85 to 87F and humid each day. That limited when we walked the beach. But they have a great swimming pool with lounge chairs in shade for when it is too hot. I'd fully recommend it as long as you are OK with the heat.

If you’re looking for peace, quiet, great food, and excellent care and you enjoy something off the beaten path, this is your spot! Simply gorgeous setting. Well maintained grounds and lodging. Delicious menu of locally-sourced food (note: no beef or pork served here). Attentive and courteous staff to make you feel like family. And if you’re worried that you might be bored, I can assure you there is plenty to do in the area. (Be prepared to do some walking once you’re here! It’s a 10 minute beach walk to town.) Highly recommend!

Best resort stay of my life! The staff are wonderful people, that’s are patient and very attentive. They truly go above and beyond. The spa was devine and they even accommodated my pregnancy with a prenatal message. The vegan options for food are plentiful and all the vegan dishes we had were heavenly. The beach is quiet, clean, and private. We stayed in the beach front bungalow, and woke up to a view of the ocean every day which was very special. The other guests are friendly and respectful. The yoga classes were lovely and the studio space is insanely gorgeous with an ocean view and a cool breeze. This a little piece of paradise. Can’t wait to return!

The room was spacious and clean with air-conditioning and an ocean view. We fell asleep to the sound of ocean waves. The grounds are beautiful with abundant tropical plants with red and pink ginger flowers. We spotted monkeys each day in the trees by the pool. The food was fresh and delicious with gluten-free and vegan options. Francesco and Juliana were very helpful and friendly restaurant staff. There is a jungle trail you can take to Playa Grande beach (20 min. walk. We walked into town each night after dinner to listen to live music. (20 min). We hired a private boat from Mocha's for $100 an hour to take us snorkling. Our last day walked to Montezuma waterfall. We hired a guide to lead us across the river.

Ylang Ylang beach resport has the most incredible staff, always smiling, so kind and helpful. They started to feel like true friends after a week stay. The grounds are beautiful, quite (except for a monkey here and there) and peaceful. Thank you

This was the best place we have stayed in all of Costa rica! From the minute you arrive you know you chose the right place to stay. We took the boat over from Jaco which I highly recommend. Everything about the resort is perfect! Great cabinas, the pool is beautiful, you can hike right from the hotel, the small adorable town is only a 10 minute walk and you will definitely see wildlife! We were so excited to see some monkeys, coati and birds. The sun rises are incredible and the stars at night are magical. Don't think twice, just book your stay here. We will definitely be coming back!

Ylang Ylang is heaven on earth the genuinely caring and dedicated staff are so welcoming each and every time we return, and make us feel like family the rooms are clean and comfortable and set apart from each other so you have your own privacy The foliage is incredibly lush and beautiful one is humbled by the size of the trees, bamboos and plants the almost constant breeze is so gentle and refreshing ️ yoga classes ♀️ are truly special as is the view of the ocean crashing below as you move through positions. The pool ♀️ is really lovely and you are guaranteed a visit from the monkeys mid afternoon, just please don’t throw food to them the beach ️ and sound of the ocean complete your sensory overload, thank you Ylang Ylang for sharing your special paradise with us

Beautiful low key resort where you really feel as if you’re in the middle of the rainforest. The grounds are lush beautiful and each day we saw new animals including monkeys, huge lizards, a snake, coatis butterflies etc. The pool was beautiful and well shaded. 2 kids aged 3 and 5 loved it. Food was delicious and staff friendly and helpful without the service feeling over the top. Really lovely place we would definitely love to return to.

This resort is everything you could hope it would be. From the staff to the views to the rooms, it all was fantastic. It m a little hesitant to say how good it was because I want to keep it for ourselves, but it was too good not to comment. The best were the hugs from the staff the last day. Our family was taken good of by the Ylang Ylang family.
