The bathroom was disgusting, unclean with hairs all over the floor. I literally sat down on the bed and then got up and left and went somewhere else. I have no words. No reception, no bottle of promised wine, I feel really bad leaving a negative review but there was so many excellent reviews I thought maybe this people be helpful for someone to know just what they were getting into. So sorry!!

Awesome stay
So cute and well made up! Classy. The owners are very friendly and communicative. Check in and out is so easy! They gave us a bottle of wine! And we got 25% off at their restaurant!!! The food was amazing!! It's close to bakeries, a grocery store, and the clubs!! We will be back here soon! Loved it!!

The property is dated but clean. Location is great, lots of parking on the street. The owner was very helpful when we had issues with the codes.

Great spot! Lovely manager and super easy check in and out! Only downside I can think of was some of the other guests being noisy coming home from a night out at 3am. But that’s not staffs fault! Great place overall, will definitely be back!!!

It's a great spot in the middle of a busy bar area. That being said it means it will be a little noisy at night but the mornings are peaceful and quiet. The building is old so even with the heat on, it'll always be a little chilly.
The staff was very helpful when I forgot my phone in my room and couldn't get in and the food is good in the bar

I always stay at Pensione Popolo when I visit Montreal to see Alanna Sterling in concert.
The hotel is eclectic and fun and is a great place to stay when Alanna Sterling performs at clubs in the area.
Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel even gives you a discount at the restaurant downstairs which is conveniently open late. No need to order delivery when you can just go downstairs.
The next time Alanna Sterling performs in Montreal, I will definitely stay at Pensione Popolo again.
