Beachcomber on the Spit

We went for a family vacation, able to check in late. Easy to find. Very clean unit and good location. Beach nearby, pool was clean and warm. Walking distances to restaurants, food outlets and bars. Easy to get back on the motorway to go other locations.

Situated in an ideal position between the shopping centre and the end of the Spit, Beachcomber is perfect. Just a short walk at the back of the units is the boardwalk that runs parallel to the beach, step across there and 20 steps or so and you are on the beach. Lifeguards are about 200 metres away. We had apartment 16, a two bedroom with its own huge rooftop terrace. Weather was hot and muggy while we were there so the air conditioning as well as the pool were well used. Ed and Ri, the managers could not have been more pleasant or helpful. My only slight issue is that the queen bed was very firm, unlike my own bed. This was our third visit to the Beachcomber and we will be back.

Clean tidy rooms, great location & lovely facilities. Managed by Ri and Ed who are very lovely and helpful. Pool is heated to 28 degrees all year round. Short stroll to the Mooloolaba Wharf. 100% recommend to anyone looking for accom around Mooloolaba!!

We were here for our third visit and the second with the current management. We love this spot and will return. Spacious quiet apartments right on the beach. Most units do not have ocean views but this does not matter as a quick walk has you straight on the beach. Right on the spit walk every day out to the head of the mooloolaba river. Spot the Ospreys in their nest, check out the boats coming and going and enjoy the views back to Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and beyond. Spot turtles and whales. Grab some seafood from the close by seafood shops on the river. The other direction takes you in minutes to Mooloolaba surf club and the restaurant and shopping strip. Just the best spot in Mooloolaba

Fantastic location and having a courtyard on the ground floor unit was great allowing us to sit in the sun throughout the day. A large 2-bedroom apartment (Unit 2) which seemed to have been recently renovated. The only minor issue was that although the kitchen was equipped with sufficient crockery/cutlery, some of the usual soft extras like cling wrap, oil, etc were lacking. Would be good to see the coffee plunger replaced with a coffee machine. During previous visits the apartments had Foxtel, however, on this occasion, there was only free-to-air TV. Take care as the hot water in this apartment was incredibly hot, particularly if kids are staying.

Nice enough and location is great. It seems to be the quiet end of Mooloolaba so it just depends what you're after. The apartments are beach side but you have views of the trees inbetween your balcony and the sea. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Its no frills stuff and as relaxing as you want it to be. Would definitely consider returning here in the future.
