Review for Pafuri Tented Camp This was our fourth stay at Pafuri Tented Camp, and that alone should tell you how much we love this place! Every visit is nothing short of phenomenal. From the breathtaking scenery to the warm hospitality, it’s an experience that keeps drawing us back. The tents are beautifully designed, offering the perfect balance of luxury and immersion in nature. Waking up to the sounds of the bush and watching wildlife pass by from our deck never gets old. The staff are exceptional—welcoming, attentive, and always making sure your stay is unforgettable. The food is fantastic, and every meal feels like a special occasion. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, Pafuri Tented Camp delivers. We can’t wait to “return” for our next visit!

Pafuri Tented Camp is one of the most wonderful places to stay in South Africa. From the beautifully appointed tents with luxurious decor, to the dawn and dusk chorus surrounding your tent, to the sumptuous and diverse meals provided on the deck overlooking the Luvuvhu River, to the unparallelled services with a smile to the game drives and extensive knowledge of the guides, not to mention the diverse habitats that includes Baobab- and Fever Tree forests, this is a place you will want to return to again and again.

Our time in Pafuri was filled with unforgettable moments, but two stand out in particular. Seeing the Fever Tree Pan at dusk was pure magic — the soft golden light filtering through the trees created a dreamlike atmosphere. Even more thrilling was watching a pack of wild dogs jogging along the road, right past our vehicle just after dawn. It was an incredibly rare and intimate wildlife experience. The location of the lodge, set right along the river, is extraordinary. From the deck, you can watch birds, crocodiles, and other animals pass by — it’s like having a front-row seat to nature. The birdwatching throughout the reserve was phenomenal, with an astonishing variety of species and nonstop activity. What made the experience even more special was the excellent service — the staff were always friendly, helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. Pafuri’s combination of remote wilderness, unique landscapes, warm hospitality, and exceptional wildlife encounters makes it a truly special destination.

Our visit to Pafuri Tented Camp was a highlight in our visit to The Kruger National Park. From arriving to leaving, we were treated like VIP's with all our expectations being met and/or exceeded. The topography of the area is truly unique and exceptionally special, definitely worth a visit.

What a stunning place to be? Awesome, the Kruger experience in an ultimate location, overviewing the Lewuhu river. Extremly knowlegeable guide showing us the remotest places from the mighty Limpopo river to the archilogical sites. A prime location for birding and game viewing. Very helpful and kind personal, excellent food, not the slightest complaints, just a place you have to go.....

We spent a couple of nights here in April 2025. It was a real privilege and we loved it. The area and guides and drives/walks were stunning, and the lodge gorgeous. We really enjoyed the trip and will be back
