Review for Pafuri Tented Camp This was our fourth stay at Pafuri Tented Camp, and that alone should tell you how much we love this place! Every visit is nothing short of phenomenal. From the breathtaking scenery to the warm hospitality, it’s an experience that keeps drawing us back. The tents are beautifully designed, offering the perfect balance of luxury and immersion in nature. Waking up to the sounds of the bush and watching wildlife pass by from our deck never gets old. The staff are exceptional—welcoming, attentive, and always making sure your stay is unforgettable. The food is fantastic, and every meal feels like a special occasion. Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, Pafuri Tented Camp delivers. We can’t wait to “return” for our next visit!

Pafuri Tented Camp is one of the most wonderful places to stay in South Africa. From the beautifully appointed tents with luxurious decor, to the dawn and dusk chorus surrounding your tent, to the sumptuous and diverse meals provided on the deck overlooking the Luvuvhu River, to the unparallelled services with a smile to the game drives and extensive knowledge of the guides, not to mention the diverse habitats that includes Baobab- and Fever Tree forests, this is a place you will want to return to again and again.

This lodge on the Levuvhu river provides a fantastic experience and excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, the guides knowledgeable, the food is great, and the luxury tents are stylish and comfortable. Some of our favourites were the outside shower, coffee and cookies on the stoep while watching the buffalo/crocs/birds in and around the river, cooling off in the pool, the view from Lanner gorge … we can go on and on. Thank you to Andile (our guide) and everyone who made it so special.

This was one of our stand-out trips to the Kruger and we will certainly be returning. From start to finish we evejoyed every aspect of the service, location. food etc. Well done Pafuri camp team.

Pafuri is a magical place. Nestled on the Lvuvhu river in northern Kruger, it is in a remote location but well worth spending the time to get there. The luxury tents are modern and comfortable with fans for hot days. The pool and bar next to it are the perfect place to relax with sun-downers. The staff are amazing, friendly and attentive to all your needs. The surrounding areas are just incredible, from the fever tree forest, the baobabs (the oldest over 2,000 years old), the canyon and the birds and wildlife. This is one of our favourite places in the world, and we came back a second time for that reason, spending a week so we could fully enjoy everything this special place has to offer. Thank you to the team for a special stay!

Just one of the most special places in the Kruger National Park. The location is one of the most beautiful places in Kruger and the staff sre so professional and extremely friendly and competent.

What a wonderful experience! The friendliest staff you will ever meet. Food was excellent, lovely views and the tents were luxurious. We will definitely go back! The masaage in our room was a special treat. Akani, our guide had a good knowledge of the bush and animals.

Only facts: I have counted my money in the safe the day before departure. On the departure day I just took my money from the safe ( there were 2 wads of cash one in a bag, one in envelope with different amount of money) I recalculated my money only when I arrived home, both missing money! 1800 US Dollars in total. I would have assumed that I had miscounted, but not when money missing in both wads. Shame!
