A lovely pub, which I've visited on several occasions. Unfortunately, they saw fit to to appoint Civil Enforcement (CE) to manage their car-park, unbeknownst to me. So when I visited recently, I parked as usual and went in for a non-alcoholic drink. Lo and behold, two weeks later, I received a parking ticket for £100, reduced to £60 if I paid within 14 days, for not registering my number when I went into the pub. Nobody in the pub informed me of the change and that I needed to register. I appealed to CE, providing evidence of my purchase and confirming that I had parked legitimately, but they rejected the appeal. It was my responsibility to read the signage informing me of my responsibility. They did say that they would reduce the fine to £20 if I paid within 14 days. Needless to say, I won't be going there again.
