We also offer 10 yoga mats for a morning stretch. -The Apres Lounge: The Apres Lounge is a great spot to kick up your feet and hang out with friends or family at the end of the day. With a TV viewing area, a convertible bumper pool/poker/game table (and a bunch of board games + chess!), and a dart board, there's plenty of activities to have fun together. -The Meditation Room + Spa: Off the Apres Lounge, get away from it all in the peaceful spa and meditation room. With a water feature, a little retro speaker for meditation tracks or smooth jams, loungers, and a 4 person sauna, this is the ultimate spot to relax after a long day outdoors (or during the day while the others are being active!).-Kitchen/living area: Head up to the main floor, where you'll enter a spacious open living room, dining space, and kitchen, with a deck out to the hot tub, fire pit, picnic tables, and loungers. The yard is very private and peaceful, with 11 acres to explore.You'll enter The Burrow through the newly added mudroom which offers storage for everyone. Store your skis, mountain bikes, and hang up your coats and boots after a long day hiking, biking, swimming, or skiing. Make your way through the cool underground tunnel past the bunk room, the full sized indoor squash court(!), and enter into the Apres Lounge, a great space for gathering with friends or family to play some games at the end of the day. On that first floor, you'll also find the meditation room + spa, one bedroom, and a fully renovated bathroom. Upstairs, you'll walk into the open living, dining area, and kitchen, as well as the primary bedroom and another bedroom/bath.Truly a one-of-a-kind property in the best area of Vermont!A couple notes:-Guests have full access to the property and can access the property by a keypad with a custom code.-The property is on a rural dirt road and our driveway is steep and tricky in inclement weather. During winter and early spring, they can get pretty muddy and potholes can be common. Open to the house (no door), but semi-private loft with a queen on the third floor with its own reading nook and private bathroom. Watch sunrise over the mountains or leaf peep the gorgeous foliage or snow covered tree tops from the porch in the morning. Outdoor grill for a great summer meal. Lots of outdoor seating areas for warmer months and relaxing after a long hike: adirondacks and an egg swing under the covered porch overlooking the brook, a dining table for 8-10, a seating area looking out to the mountains, loungers by the waterfall, and a private 8-person fire pit (note: we do not supply firewood). Parents, please note there is open, un-gated access to the waterfall. The backyard is incredibly private and so peaceful. For twilight, take a two minute walk up to the Ryder Brook Golf Club for a short round or a winter walk. As you enter the front door you're greeted by a slate entrance way that features built-in bench seating, coat hooks and cubbies that keep your hats, gloves, ski helmets and gear organized for outdoor activities. You realize right away that the property is owner-managed and extremely well cared for. It is exceptionally clean, well appointed and ready for your arrival. The first floor entrance opens to an airy and well-lit open-concept living area with fine furnishings, artful mountain decor, personal touches of the owner and wide-pine flooring throughout. Left off the entrance is a comfortable, cozy den, set up for sleeping additional guests or entertaining the kids with movies and shows on a 50” Samsung flatscreen Smart TV. An antique desk provides an Apple docking station and laser printer, all supported with high speed internet access should last-minute business needs arise. Opposite the den is a half bath with stone counter and tasteful decor. The fully equipped u-shaped kitchen with picket tile backsplash features granite counter tops, a suite of premium appliances including a Fisher & Paykel double drawer dishwasher, Viking Professional series range and double door refrigerator/freezer with ice and filtered water. Mountain-theme stoneware and utensils along with a full quiver of Calphalon cutlery and cookware fully equip the kitchen for any meal. All necessary kitchen appliances and tools at the ready along with ingredients, spices and cooking oils. Fondue pots, plates and color coded forks fully complete the Switzerland in Vermont mountain town experience! Just past the kitchen, the home opens to an open-concept first-floor living area. Dual sliding doors let a dramatic scenery and views of the Worcester mountain range into the home. The sliders open to a private back deck that seemingly sits amongst the tree-tops. On the deck is a large country picnic table, perfect for summer meals off the accompanying Weber Summit Series gas grill. Back inside, the interior dining area features a custom handmade Amish farm table of reclaimed barn board with generous seating for eight. The adjoining breakfast bar provides additional seating for two. Adjacent the dining area is the primary living area with comfortable full-grain leather couch, ergonomic leather chair, 55” Samsung Smart TV, DVD and SONOS wireless sound system. Opposite the entertainment and perched on a bluestone hearth is a Danish Morso wood burning stove with ambiance-enriching glass doors. After a huge day on the mountain; crack a Heady Topper from the Alchemist Brewery and feel a dense heat radiate from a monstrous antique saw blade mounted to the wall behind the wood stove. Now that is epic! Heading up the Red Birch staircase to the second floor, are two large bedrooms and a full bath. At right is a spacious bedroom with one queen bed and two twin beds. Ideal for sleeping children and an accompanying Au Pair. At left is the spacious master bedroom with king bed built-in bookcases and reading nook. Enjoy the Balsam Lodge which was built to host a great vacation with open spaces for gathering and quiet places when needed. The Lodge's 3 acres were part of a Christmas Tree farm which is where the name is derived from. The Lodge was custom designed to host a great vacation for a family or for a group of friends. With beds sleeping 8 people there is plenty of room.As you enter the house thru the mudroom you will find adequate space to hang coats and store shoes and gear. Access to the 2 car garage is to one side while a full laundry room and a full bathroom with stall shower is off this area also.The living room with 50" TV and soundbar is accessed off the mudroom hallway and opens to the "Chef" inspired kitchen. You fill find a Keurig Coffee Maker and a regular drip coffee maker, toaster oven, crock pot, rice cooker dishwasher, 5 burner cooktop, double ovens and dual sink locations just to mention a few of the items plus of course plenty of dishes and silverware.Off the kitchen you can enter the dining room with 8' custom wood plank tablewhich has seating for 10. This is a great place to have meals or play a board game. Walking out of the sliding glass door of the dining room you can access the deck and BBQ Grill.The Great Room, which can be accessed off the kitchen or living room, has a wood burning fireplace (plenty of wood in the shed), seating for 8. Have a cocktail at the bar that is also located in the Great Room and discuss how you conquered The Goat or hiked Bingham's Falls! Relax in front of a roaring fire and watch the 55" TV above the fireplace.Upstairs are the 4 bedrooms. The first bedroom is the master suite with a king bed and it's own bathroom with tub. There are also 2 queen bedrooms and 1 bunk room with 2 custom made bunk beds. These three bedrooms share the third bath that is upstairs or the bath on the main floor.In the basement we have added a rec room with a TV and two comfortable couches (futons) plus a Foosball table. In addition there is a play room for the kids that includes a variety of toys for their use. During the warmer months all bedrooms and living areas have air conditioning so you will sleep in comfort. We have multiple lawn games to keep everyone happy including a Balsam Lodge Cornhole, Connect 4, bats and balls and Can Jam. When the sun sets sit around the outdoor firepit in the backyard.
