IGNORE BAD REVIEWS!! I'm honestly baffled by the 1 star reviews. We travelled with two children and 4 adults. Transfer wasn't as painful as I imagined with a 1 year old and a 5 year old. The views during the transfer were gorgeous! The transfer back to the airport took a bit longer. Would probably book a private next time so it was door to door rather than hotel stops. On arrival the check in was super smooth and the two men behind the desk were really chatty, upbeat and helpful. We were given our ticket for the new years eve dinner and tokens for the pool cups. I was sceptical when I read about plastic cups because I love a glass of wine in a glass! But they were perfect for by the pool and in the lobby bar it's all glass. They weren't thin plastic, they were thick cups. We got to our rooms and they were spotless! Had a lovely view of the activity area and park. Food- it's a 4 star hotel and the food was 4 star! Sooo much choice and catered for all!! Drinks- some great cocktail choices for all inclusive (the mojitos were amazing) and pink prosecco which was nice !! The beer was good quality too! The animation team were the best I have ever known (we have been to a lot of hotels with entertainment) they did everything they possibly could to make sure you had the best holiday possible. The kids club was amazing!!! My 5 year old has never wanted to be alone at a kids club before and she was excited to go every day!! The children's time/mini disco at night was brilliant too!! If you're thinking about going over new year, DO IT it was 5 star plus that night! In the day time they opened up the pool bar/eating area with canapés at lunch and loads of glasses for prosecco! The food at night was next level and they had so much extra special entertainment! A 360 video station, a big backdrop and balloons for photos and you couldn't get enough prosecco!! The chefs, bar staff, animation team , Cleaners and waiters made our holiday!!! Plus the weather was gorgeous which helped. So yes this hotel it's perfect for families and couples !! Ignore the haters I really don't know what people expect sometimes! Thank you again animation team! Keep working hard! You make the hotel what it is.

We had the absolute BEST time here. Completely unexpected after reading the reviews to the point where we nearly changed our booking and so glad we didn’t. From the moment we checked in with our 4 year old daughter (online check in) the room was great with a good separate area for her to sleep in with very comfy beds for us all. The swimming pool was heated and so pleasurable to be in. They had aqua bike and aerobics and lots of entertainment to make you smile around the pool so it was never boring but not overly forced so you could chill if you wanted. The food was also great. Being a typical person who only like a la carte dining, I had low expectations and planned on eating dinner out, we didn’t once as the options were all delicious. We were there for new years and the spread they put on was great. The New Year’s party was out of this world too, with gifts/accessories given and an unbelievable effort from the staff. The kids offering was also amazing, the kids club was great, the staff were great, the swings were great, as was the nightly disco and shows. If the activities, my daughter decorated a T-shirt and got to see a pretty incredible bubble show (who knew a bubble show could be so good at 11am!) With a few early nights, being able to connect our Netflix to the TV was great but there was entertainment available if you wanted it. So glad we didn’t cancel our booking and are even considering coming back, something we rarely do.

Great location close to one of the best beaches in the Canaries, the promenade with shops, bars and restaurants is also a short walk away. This hotel is clean and modern with spacious well appointed rooms. The pool deck has plenty of loungers and the pool was warm and a great size to swim in. We stayed all inclusive and the food was fine. The restaurant can get very crowded and in my opinion wasn’t very well organised or layed out. The staff were slow to clear and reset tables. Wine and beer were self serve in the restaurant and all other drinks were available at the pool bar until 6pm or in the lobby bar until 11pm. There was live music each Evening in the courtyard which was a welcome change to the usual animation team rubbish. We would stay here again based on cleanliness, location and value for money.

This is an amazing hotel. This is our second visit, we travel a lot and rarely return to the same hotel, however this place is exceptional. It's exactly as described. The rooms are spacious airey and kept immaculate, the pool area is 5 star and beautiful. The restaurant always has a great mix on offer and drinks are included. The staff here are all lovely and respectful/helpful. The location is great, the Jandia area has the most beautiful beaches in all of the canaries. Special mention to Danny and his team, they do a great job entertaining young and old with a variety of exercise classes and children's entertainment.

The apartment was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The location is close to the beach, less than a five minute walk, and there are some nice walks along the coastline. The restaurant is large and most nights we had no trouble finding a table. Some parts had the feel of a canteen however. The food was sometimes lukewarm, but that said there was always a large and varied selection.

Where to start approx 1 hour 15 mins transfer Arrived on saturday wasn’t dropped outside due to roadworks happening out non-existent the whole 8nights we was there dropped approx 5mins away. Got to reception room wasn’t ready so went for lunch and little stroll around come back and was sent to room p144 which was nearly furthest room away approx 2:15pm Opened door to go in was like the Sahara desert put air con on didn’t work went to use phone didn’t work like he said phone room 9 went to reception was told a engineer would attend approx 4:45pm he arrived with the part we guess he knew was broken before giving the room to us. Still sat in room as requested by engineer 6:30 pm now says is broken beyond repair and we will get a new room after half hour NO news from engineer or hotel to advise of new room/number so again went to reception and got new room onto armband room a132. Went there whilst passing and surprise surprise engineer was in room tinkering with air con and suite STUNK of smoking and cigars engineers advised through his disastrous but helpful english to complain at reception and get a maid to spray and leave windows open. Went and got cases and dropped to room as now was hungry and bored from waiting about and baking hot! Ate dinner went to reception and the older man behind reception advised was kinda unlucky as people smoke in rooms and is standard procedure and no maids was available for spraying the room. So day one was wrote of at a loss. Pool was very nice and clean as was the day entertainment very enjoyable! Food was average at best same breakfast bit i.e eggs/hash browns/mushrooms cold/continental counter was again same old but all was fresh. Lunch’s/Dinners again no themed nights basic at best but very fresh On first few days restaurant was very clean and maintained by Tuesday was a shambles every meal tables dirty not replenished no chairs people acting like was in a 5 star restaurant staying there for hours after day one ate dinner out everyday due to the experience Evenings for some apparent reason the entertainment that was put on was around the pool and seating was the sun loungers from the day not chairs again not ideal Last day before leaving and went to phone and ask for a cab to be ordered and the phone was connected to nothing went to reception and they basically was like i don’t see the problem and i advised what if there was a accident/fire as the other residents smoke in the rooms as reception advised no would know as the phone was broken and not checked so health hazard or danger to life. Location is ideal beautiful beach’s/parade of shops Unfortunately would not revisit a melia branded hotel and wouldn’t recommend to family or friends as wouldn’t feel they would be safe if thats the attitude they take with guests lives.
