Ameg Lodge Kilimanjaro

I can't recommend this hotel enough! Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, the breakfast was fabulous (those breakfast potatoes were beyond delicious), and the pool was beautiful and relaxing. Plus the roaming birds added to the entire experience. I will absolutely stay here again!

Our visit to Ameg Lodge was extremely disappointing. After swimming, my hair turned completely green due to excessive chlorine—something that has never happened before. When we politely asked for a refund (just $10), the staff was kind and willing to help, but the owner stepped in and was incredibly rude. He refused to take responsibility, blamed us for choosing to swim, and even wanted pictures of us to ban us from returning. To make matters worse, he started yelling at his own employees for not taking pictures of our IDs upon arrival—something we’ve never experienced at a pool before. His behavior was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and completely unnecessary. Avoid this place—especially because of the owner.

I cannot fault the welcome we received , the staff , the room, the grounds, the food or the service- it was amazing. I would definitely go back. We arrived early evening and the staff rushed to greet us and a lovely welcome drink. The room was rearranged to cater for me, my wife and my daughter together. The restaurant food was so nice and the service brilliant. Unfortunately we only had time in our schedule to spend one night there but it was a great start to our African Adventure and close enough to the international airport after a long journey into Tanzania

Lovely lodge with clean, safe, and comfortable room. Enclosed grounds with guards made you feel very secure. We did go running and walking and did not feel unsafe, but the extra layer of protection was nice. Staff was gracious, hospitable, and friendly. Food was terrific.

Accommodations were very comfortable both before and after our Kili trek. The staff was very helpful in storing our bags while we climbed. Food was also quite good. The nice upon arrival was very refreshing. Showers could have a had a little better pressure.

The lodges are set in a large and well maintained garden with a nice restaurant and large swimming pool with beds. Also a gym is available. The food is really good and the staff is friendly. Definitely a good and recommended place to stay while in Moshi
