What a beautiful sanctuary with friendly and attentive staff and a lovely menu with a wonderful variety of food options, from Indian to local to pizzas. Highly recommended! We stayed here before and after our Mt Kilimanjaro hike and it was an oasis! Thank you to the entire staff for making amour stay a memorable one!

Cannot fault this hotel. The customer service and friendliness is first class. Rooms lovely and well serviced and the food is fantastic. Great experience. The service was incredible so please tip! Cute store inside but also right next to Moshi for anything you need. The pool is nice and right next to the restaurant. This was a stop where I prepared to climb Mt Kilimanjaro from, and it was perfect for that.

Rooms are wonderful , neat and clean with cold AC. Entire staff were very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. The Chef at the restaurant is amazingly talented. Best food we had while visiting Tanzania. All around great experience with a fair price point.

The Chanya lodge is a great place to stay. The lodge itself is beautiful, very clean and a five minute cab to Moshi center. The rooms are very comfy and designed to optimize AC and electric, which I was a little worried about before arriving. The best thing about Chanya are the staff. Everyone is very friendly, ready to help or accommodate you. You get to know each other, which feels rare for a hotel. The food at their restaurant is very good, both Tanzanian and Indian dishes. It's also a nice place to hang out on down time. Definitely try the gin and tonic. There's lots of fresh fruit and juice, too. Chanya has a focus on environmentalism, as well, so apart from cutting down on one-use plastic, the staff were happy to take the fruit and sunscreen we couldn't take back home. Their gift shop is really cute, too, and has some unique, locally made beauty products. Would definitely stay again.

Everything is perfect at Chanya lodge, staff, rooms, breakfast and buffet! Staff is very helpful and they always welcome you with big smile and they make sure we don't lack anything. Rooms are so comfortable! I recommend Chanya lodge 100%.

Omar was the first person at Chanya Lodge that greeted us when we arrived and he set the tone for an amazing stay. He was a wealth of information and really made us feel special. A+ and Gold Star for customer service! Truly, the AI summary is spot on with how friendly and attentive the staff here are. Our group consisted of two women and we felt very safe in the gated compound. There is a restaurant on site with daily buffets. I did enjoy the food offerings and was able to meet with Chef Balsam in person to thank him for the delicious food. He’s only been here for about 2 months, and from reading previous reviews, he’s elevating the quality of dishes. All in all, a perfect stay.

Amazing room decor with right blend of rustic, comfort and modern elements . What I liked the most: 1. Splendid bedding 2. Vast green backyard with varied flora protecting you from harsh heat 3. Chef Balram who customises menu to your taste buds.

Wonderful rooms, tasty food, and amazing staff. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Moshi before and after my Kilimanjaro trek. Every member of the staff was helpful and always smiling. I must have tried almost everything on the menu and enjoyed every meal. The pool was great to recoup and loosen up my sore muscles. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend Chanya Lodge to anyone visiting the area.
