This accommodation is very good, suitable for families. You can see animals in the room and get free entry to the zoo for 2 days.

Staff and rooms were great. Extra tours like the sanctuary tour and night zoo tours were excellent. Staying 3 nights tho and the same food every morning was a but much but for an oriental person, suggest to include rice in the daily selection

The night tour, morning tour and sanctuary tours were very special for the kids, Cozy room, we got a rollaway bed for no extra charge for our 6 year old. Otherwise he could’ve also just slept on the couch. I liked how everything was eco friendly and had the environment in mind. Breakfast was good - cooked mushrooms and decent sausages, fresh cut fruit and decent barista made coffee.

My small family and I had an amazing time at Wildlife Retreat. The hotel is in an incredible location and included everything we needed for our stay. The staff were lovely and very accomodating. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and with amazing views of the harbour.

The Wildlife retreat and Taronga Zoo did an excellent job on conservation and sustainability. The staff are very knowledgable and friendly. The fine dining restaurant Me- Gal was good but not excellent ( with exceptional view of Sydney harbour). The retreat has another entrance to Taronga Zoo so you can go back and forth to the Zoo. The night tour of the zoo is a must join event.

Awesome and meaningful stay. They provide you daily access into the Zoo and exclusive tours around the sanctuary, totally worth the price. Best of all, every morning woke up to the sight of Koala bear!

The hotel was okay. Breakfast is limited and closes at 9.45am. There is no swimming pool, and the sanctuary view room does not actually have a really nice view as it was mostly Bush view with very little sight of the animal. Cleanliness is absolutely disappointing. The amount and thickness of dust under the sofa, on the bed head rest was disgusting. Considering the amount of money being paid, the cleaners do not seem to know about cross contamination and training must be very poor. Watching them clean the room, they used the same gloves and cloth to wipe down the toilets and table in the bathroom and, with the same gloves on after cleaning the toilet, take the clean towels and puts them in the bathroom. Again, with the same gloves, they took the cups and washed them after cleaning the toilet. Logically, they should change gloves, but it seems they are so used to cleaning this way that they just focus on getting the job done quickly, instead of correctly. They also used the same mop to mop the bathroom floors and the bedroom floors. There were no separate mops for toilet and bedroom. Cleaning standard just disappointing and disgusting I had 3 different cleaners each day and they all did the same thing. No slippers or complimentary water provided in the rooms.

We enjoyed our stay in the Wildlife Retreat. The location is fantastic and it is easily accessible via public transport. The buffet breakfast has a good variety and the restaurant has a view of the harbour bridge and Opera house.

Hotel is 10mins away from circular quay via ferry, followed by a shuttle bus that comes in sync with ferry times to bring you up to the zoo. Service is 5/5, with frequent touch points from the tours that they offered us. Specifically, staff Francine and Andrew were commendable for their service. Would 10/10 recommend people the animal view room if you love to see koalas from your very own room. If it’s not enough, there is an entry for hotel guest to enter the zoo via room key conveniently beside the retreat. View from breakfast place was also great (photo no 3). You can get to see the Sydney harbour. Overall 10/10 would recommend this experience.

The rooms were a lil small but location was good.A lil over priced for the our sized family if uve got over 5 ppl u need 2 rooms .

It’s like a paradise. We will come back for sure. Love the hotel and all around

And feel like I’m helping the animals without hurting or slavery The zoo ticket is included and also a little tour, it helps me know more about the animals but not only by watching them Everything is clean, totally worth to try The koala is right in-front of my room, it’s so good to watching him
