Moss Vale Village Park

The handwash and shampoos etc were lovely. The service was pleasant at reception, although I was given a sheet and had to make up the second double bed as the other adult staying with me was not my partner. The villa was fairly clean except for a few dirty marks on walls. The 2 br villa we stayed in was in desperate need of a renovation. Everything was shabby. The basin in the bathroom was peeling and swelling from water damage. The smoke alarm was falling off the ceiling and had blobs of blutak trying to hold it on (safe?). The bedspread was pilled and worn. Strips of laminate had peeled of the inside of the wardrobes. I felt that $180 pn was too much for the condition of the villa.

This park is very unkempt. The grass around the caravan sites hasn’t been mowed for a long time. Didn’t see any maintenance staff for the 3 days I was there. At $53/n it was way overpriced. Opp my site was a huge pile of wood chips. And a shed with tractor piled high with pine needles. A great view!! The reception lady not interested in giving any joy. It looked like some of the old wrecks of vans housed homeless people.

For the second time (out of five stays in this park) we have been kept awake all night by wedding party revellers. The park management even gave me a tip that there was a wedding party in the park, but they, or their security failed to show up on the night, allowing the drunken revellers to keep the rest of the park awake until around 4 am. Unfortunately, we, and many other tourists staying in the park, were already waking around 5am to participate in a long road cycling event. This was not the way we wanted to prepare for the event.

Sites are a bit tight, close together 4 sites all shared one drain, but good clean amenities, laundry was a bit exy at $7 per load. Good location to the highlands etc for exploring. Lovely customer service, Bev really helped us out, returned phone call etc.

I am a regular (caravan)visitor to this park either solo or accompanied by one of my granddaughters. The park is well located in the Southern Highlands. Staff are professional and friendly. The grounds are beautifully maintained as is the ammenities block. A feature not often found in parks is the disabled shower and toilet block.

Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 1. The Deluxe unit was far from Deluxe. It was old, dirty and smelt. We went to the supermarket to get air freshener! Even though the unit was old and dated, you can get past that if its clean. This wasn't and at $160/night it was far far from expectation. It was the worst place we have ever stayed in. When asked for a refund, we were told the Company doesn’t give refunds, i would not recommend anyone staying in the units standard or deluxe units
