Garden Route Safari Camp

Such a friendly, welcoming place (family-run), with really knowledgable staff for the game drives. We saw so many lovely animals and also plants and learnt some fascinating things during our stay. It was a special birthday for my husband and was the perfect place to be!

This was our second visit to GRSC. The team are very professional but also very friendly and welcoming. The 3 bed lodge was very nicely finished. The safaris are always interesting with close up experiences of the animals. Highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved our visit here! We stayed in the Loft, which was amazing. The views from the balcony were incredible, we saw hippos, impala, giraffes and other animals without even going anywhere. It was all beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. The food was all delicious (& I'm quite a fussy eater, but even I ate everything!) and all the staff were so kind and friendly (my son thought they'd mistaken us for royalty!!). There was incredible attention to detail, like name cards, handwritten messages and flowers on the table that made us all feel very special. Yolandi made us all feel very welcome. Of course, the highlight of our trip was the safari!! We did sunrise and sundowner safaris with Stephan, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, plants and history of the area. We absolutely loved our drinks and snacks with the animals (& again everything was beautifully presented). Stephan also shared lots of future plans for the reserve with us. The vehicles were very comfortable, especially the hooded blankets. Even when we had a bit of rain, we were all cosy, warm and dry inside. We also did a walking safari with Josh, who was also very knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting facts about the animals. I can't believe how close we got to the animals, it was such an incredible, unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend the Garden Route Safari Camp highly enough and hope we are able to come back again soon!
