Istion Club & Spa

First time to visit the Istion Hotel and I will definitely return. From check in we had such a great experience, no hassle easy transaction, we originally had a room at the reception and asked would it be possible to move a little closer to the ocean,and without hassle we were accommodated. The receptionist Kiki is such a bonus to the hotel so polite as with many other staff members, like vivikar(probably spelt wrong) who works in the restaurant, another huge bonus to the hotel,along with the Manager such politeness goes along way. Our new room allocation really made our break special as we could see the ocean a lovely bright and airy room(405). The beach is small and quaint with a limited amount of loungers, but uf you have sensitive feet I suggest swin shoes. The food and cleanliness of hotel is second to none,everywhere is absolutely spotless, I would suggest visiting afytos a stunning little village,the hotel runs a bus to there on Tuesdays at 9 and pick up 12,if that is not enough time for you to explore ,a taxi will cost roughly €30 back to the hotel. Another huge bonus for us was the beautiful resident cat and her kitten such beauties. This hotel in my opinion has 90% german occupancy, but with us being Irish ,we had no language barriers or issues ,everyone just enjoying there little break. They also run a children's club,which all the little children seemed to have enjoyed,we no small children with us,so cannot give more information . Sunsets are absolutely Amazing. My overall opinion is come a visit this gem of a hotel.

Excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful personnel, special kudos to animators, who will never get you bored, spa, bar and restaurant team, front office, room attendants, gardeners that are keeping the territory full of flowers. Everything was spotless: from the room, it's facilities to food and service. The hotel located within only half an hour drive from Thessaloniki, which we found very convenient, as it doesn't take a long time from airport, and on the other hand, there were no city hustle, feels like countryside serenity, where you can leave behind the noise and rushing atmosphere, like in most of others popular greek resorts. There's fabulous spa center, where you can indulge in a variety of treatments. At the restaurant always good variety of tasty fish, seafood, meat and desserts are definitely something special. There's also small shop in the property, where you can buy nice souvenirs for your loved ones. Thank you, Istion for hospitality and giving us a great memories !

Our stay at the Istion Club was a last minute booking and we didn’t have high expectations. We choose the destination because we particularly wanted to visit the historic city of Thessaloniki We arrived late at night and were allocated a suite consisting of, bedroom, sitting room,bathroom and a balcony. Very spacious and spotlessly clean. Despite it being towards the end of the season the staff were unfailingly courteous, helpful and accommodating. The staff at the reception were especially responsive.The rooms were kept immaculately clean and the gardens and landscaping were a pleasure to see. The buffet breakfast was more than sufficient but the evening meal buffet was not inspiring and seemed to be rather disjointed. Having said that, there was always plenty and excellent choices for vegetarians . We wish to particularly mention Evangelia the Reservations Manager who ironed out the initial problems that we had had due to our very late arrival at the resort.
