Bryson Inn

Good place for a pit stop for a night. Friendly staff, ok free breakfast, easy access to Hwy, and a huge truck stop next door for a quick meal and then time to roll. Checkin was a bit slow due to the use of a dot matrix printer. Parking is Free and well lit.

Had to stay here after we could not find any other hotel with vacancy on our driving trip home to Pennsylvania. The carpet and chair stained. The sink was clogged and no water would go down. Called and they came and tried to unclog the sink with gross stuff everywhere in the sink area. They said it would not be an issue and we could stay in the room. I asked for another room as it would have to be sanitized and cleaned before someone could use it. They did take to another room where the door handle was broken. He showed me using the key and you supposedly had to hold the handle up and use the key to get in. When I tried to open without a key the door opened with no key. We tried with the dead bolt, and also would open with no key. We stayed as my 5 year old was asleep and I could not find anywhere else to go. We put the chair in front of the door and the top manually lock was able to be used so at least the door would only open a little bit.

On a recent weekend visit of Mt Airy we found this place on line. The rooms were very clean and the motel well run The staff was friendly and accommodating to our request for a room to play cards in. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty. Great coffee. All around great experience.

Older Hotel the room was clean smelled a bit musty. We didn't had a microwave but that's okay. Again with older Hotels it has not much outlets for all your gadgets. It has a nice Pool and the location is right off I-77. We would stay again if we are in this area again

DON’T TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES! No chairs—no place to sit except the beds even though there is a table; NASTY carpet; hair dryer doesn’t work; NO chair (nothing to sit on except the bed; NO warm OR hot water in sink after running 7 minutes but 2 hours later IMMEDIATELY upon turning on sink water, it was SCALDING HOT; sink faucet extremely hard to turn on/off; only a trickle of water from shower head; wallpaper peeling; old furniture; doors need paint; bed skirts on both beds have holes; musty odor from ac. Had to go buy Febreeze to try to rid the smell. The good reviews could not possibly be from someone who stayed there.

We were in town for a wedding. We arrived on a Friday afternoon, checked in with the intent of taking a shower, changing clothes and heading to the rehearsal. There was no hot water, so showers were out. My wife rinsed her hair in the sink only to find the hair dryer didn't work. I went down to the front desk to let them know. She handed me a hair dryer in a box (the one in the room was wall mounted, and that's what she handed me). I was told that someone would be there in an hour to fix the hot water. I explained that I had to be somewhere in an hour. She insisted that I wait an hour and it would be fine. I again, explained that wouldn't work. She then told me I was being unreasonable and that she would cancel our stay and told us to go elsewhere. Then she said, since we had booked through *******, that we would have to work with them to get a refund. While I was at the counter, another guest came in to complain that their room had a horrible stench. She didn't want to help him either. My wife called *******, but they were unable to get ahold of anyone at the hotel. My wife tried to call the hotel as well. A very rude staff member answered the phone and told her that this was not his problem and he was unwilling to do anything. I can't imagine how this place stays in business with such horrific customer service (and unacceptable room conditions). If you look at their ratings on *******, they have a high rating. But if you scroll down, you will see a terrible review (citing many of the same things I've mentioned), followed by three glowing reviews (all saying basically the same thing). It has to be someone that works there that is trying to counteract the negative reviews with positive. But they don't take the effort to change the wording much at all.

Under new ownership for 2 years? Quiet, nice people, walk outside to get to café/ restaurant; clean. Breakfast includes: waffles, toast, 2 juices, 2 cereals, oatmeal, poptarts, bagels. hard-boiled eggs, Activa yogurt, small muffins, biscuits n gravy, one kind of fruit, coffee (could be better), teas - 5 tables. Lg LED TV, small bathroom, very good wifi, microwave/ small refrigerator in room, close to the Interstate. Nice place to stay for the money.

This is our 2nd time visiting The Bryson Inn and love it. The room was very clean and spacious we stayed 4 days and never had any issues the staff was excellent. The room we stayed in had a microwave and Fridge, looking forward to coming back another time

Great, friendly service, room was clean and everything as described! Free breakfast! And coffee 24/7, would definitely stay again. Well worth the money, and in a nice location. Close to Mayberry. Quiet environment and easy access to the main road!
