Nordic Inn

We booked a reservation through *******. We did not get a room in the main Inn but rather the "house" a few miles on the hillside. After descending several flights of stairs into what felt like a basement, we found our room. There were common areas for a kitchen and living room. If I wanted an Air B&B I wouldn't have booked this place. The kicker - NO ON-SITE parking. We like to get an early start to the day, but while they offered free transit to our vehicle located at the main inn, we couldn't access these rides until 7:15am. Forget something in your car? Too bad, wait 15 minutes for your ride to get you back to your car. This was not explained on ******* or the Nordic Inn's website. Terribly misleading. The room itself felt unsafe as the house was unlocked at all times, and the window was broken, so in the event of an emergency, an exit was sketchy. We didn't stay. We spent hours on the phone with *******. After we explained the issues, ******* tried to call the Nordic Inn, but conveniently they wouldn't answer the phone or return a call. Since then, we have tried calling and have left messages, and of course have not heard back. Terrible customer service and misleading accommodations. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Try another hotel.

Great location and great vibes! The property has some solid amenities and a bunch of nice common areas to hang in. Ryan at the front desk was super helpful as well. The shuttle stop being right outside to take you into downtown is plus. Great spot to stay no matter the season!

We wound up having a wonderful, romantic, relaxing stay. Check in though was a unwelcome hassle because we are an older couple and without any introduction from the young person who checked us in, we were booked into a small room at the bottom of a $7 million house called Summit Inn that the owner has on the market for sale, way up the hill from the main Nordic Inn. People who stay there have to drive to get there from the Nordic Inn. We even asked what floor our room was on and she said the ground floor. We arrive at the Summit House on the steep mountainside about 5 minutes drive from the main lodge to find that it is 2 flights of stairs to even get to the front door. Once inside, it is another four flights of stairs down to our room. The windows all over the house are broken and can't open or close. We complained of course and then were given the room we should have had all along in the main lodge, 209. It was the last one the reception person said was even available. Beautiful, cool, clean, with a mini fridge and ceiling fan and only one flight of stairs to reach. Bring an extra fan from home because there is no AC. We also brought our own captain chairs which were nice to have to sit outside at night. The other reason to choose the main lodge is while there is just one shared hot tub there, it is lovely and breakfast is served in the cute dining room there (which is included with the price of the room). The living room is welcoming with board games, wine dispensers (I loved those!!) and comfy couches to unwind on after a long day, with nice music playing on the wireless speaker until 8 pm The location is awesome, away from the crowds in town and only 5 minutes walk from the chair lifts. Our bed was comfy, sheets were first class and every staff person was super friendly. We would return next time we are on vacation in Crested Butte.

My friends and I had a great experience at the Nordic Inn! The rooms were adorable and comfortable ~ and the staff was amazing! We hiked from Aspen so needed a comfortable and easy place to stay ~ will definitely stay here again next time! Thank you!!

This place is awesome - a European feel, cozy, cool and charming. The manager was extremely knowledgeable about the area, offering us lots of recommendations and was just all around friendly and accommodating guy. In fact all the staff we encountered were. Place has a lot of character (in the best ways) and the hot tub after skiing was perfect. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Would stay here again and again.

Amazing service! The hotel owner was incredibly helpful, allowing us to park our car when all other spots were full. Super convenient location, just a stone's throw from the lift. Really appreciate their kindness in helping us out with parking!

Super nice staff, and the hotel is very nice looking. It has a quaint cabin feel. Also, the location is great. The hotel is right next to main lift area. The giant chess board in the lounge area was super cool. There is plenty of parking available.

I had an administrative issue there after my stay, and I called to get help after my stay. The front desk told me the manager was away and that they would call me back. I had my doubts based on previous experiences, but about 4 days after my call, I received a call from the manager who had been on vacation until then but called the day he was back. They addressed the issue quickly and without any other actions from me. Great customer service! Thank you, Nordic Inn!

I have stayed here a total of three times so far and would definitely book again. The homey, cabin-like feel was exactly what I was looking for when staying in the mountains. The rooms were clean and there was a good variety to pick from when booking. I was able to stay in one of their houses once and the main hotel twice. Both exceeded my expectations. The staff was so helpful and even recommended good places to ski, hike, and eat in the area. The hot tub, breakfast, and parking were well kept and easy to access. It's safe to say I would absolutely recommend staying at the Nordic for anyone looking to travel to Crested Butte!
