A Perfect Stay at a Thoughtfully Designed Cottage Studio We had a fantastic weekend staying at this charming cottage studio. From the moment we arrived, Sue and Gary were warm and welcoming—friendly and full of great local tips, yet never intrusive.The cottage itself is beautifully presented—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed to make guests feel at home. The little touches made all the difference: bread in the freezer (including gluten-free options), a lovely selection of jams and spreads, butter, and even individual bottles of milk paired with neatly portioned cereal in mason jars. The bathroom was also well-stocked with toiletries and toothpaste, which was a nice bonus.For those who like to unwind, there’s a well-curated selection of books, local brochures, and even Sudoku for a bit of a challenge. The location is fantastic, backing onto a reserve with direct access to the walking path around Valley Lake—though be warned, the locals might downplay just how hilly it is! The scenery is arguably even prettier than the well-known Blue Lake walk, which is also nearby.Shops, cafés, and tourist sites are all within easy reach, and for us, the highlight was being able to walk to and from the festival at the old gaol with ease.All in all, a wonderful place to stay—highly recommended!
