Green Valley Inn

Such a magical experience! The host Marcela and her family make this place the absolute best! Getting there you must drive down a road that can be a teeny bit intimidating at first, but no big deal and an easy trek. Every meal we had on premise was delicious and authentic. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean, well maintained, and quiet. The grounds are well kept and beautiful with adorable, friendly dogs. We recomend getting a massage! It was professional, relaxing and just what we needed after touring pyramids and caves all day. The Green Valley Inn exceeded our expectations, which is difficult considering how excited we were to stay!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! My favorite part was the outside shower! The bed was comfortable and everything was so clean. It was great location to pack your trip with adventures. The breakfast is so great and Marcela is so accommodating!

Marcela is the owner of the place. She took care of us even before we got to Belize. She organized couple tours for us: Tikal and Xunantunich and referred to a good reliable taxi companies. The place is very secluded and well maintained. Grounds are so beautiful. Our only regret was that we didn’t have one full day to spend at the hotel. The atmosphere there was very relaxing. Marcela and Eva prepared breakfast and dinners for us - lots of very tasty food. Eva drove us to Belize City to our next destination and even stopped and waited for us to tour Belize Zoo. Very happy with our stay! Highly recommend. Such a warm and welcoming place.

The Green Valley Inn rates our highest recommendation on all counts. Marcella, the owner was the consummate hostess, insuring all aspects of our presence were optimally taken care of. We stayed in The Tree House, a marvel of architectural engineering and certainly an anomaly for any of our stays anywhere, with gorgeous views of the well manicured grounds while providing privacy. Eva, the chef and Sessi her assistant created wonderful meals which we greatly enjoyed in their dining area and interacting with fellow guests. Marcella happily and wisely arranged for our Caracol tour with Mario, one of the most knowledgeable guides we've been with. All said, our stay to experience the Cayo District and its many adventures from the comfort and sheer enjoyment of the Green Valley Inn could not have been better. Beautiful place with the best host. Marcela and Eva were wonderful and ready to help with anything we might want to do. They know all the best local independent guides. Our cabin was very comfortable made from beautiful wood. The food was great - we stayed 3 nights and took all our evening meals there.

I’m always a bit sceptical of places with a 5-star rating but after staying here, I can absolutely see why. The grounds were beautiful with a lot of fruit trees and birds, and the cabin I stayed in was cute and clean. What really made the experience though was Marcella and Eva. They were so welcoming and helpful in their recommendations, and prepared the meals I ate there with care. For the first couple days I was there, I was their only guest, and I felt like I was part of the family. And once another group showed up, Marcella arranged things so I could easily join them for meals if I wanted to. I’d highly recommend staying here - I hope that I’ll get to go back one day!
