Pethers Rainforest Retreat

the most relaxing and peaceful hotel i’ve ever visited, ten minute drive from most places in mnt tambourine. Lovely and secluded rooms, really enjoyed my stay

The treehouse itself was lovely, beautifully furnished (not completely clean as we dropped something then found other rubbish under the bed).  We felt the property missed the mark on the broader experience and ambience, compared to many other similar properties we’ve stayed at.  Eg no atmosphere in the central area during the daytime, it was advertised on the website drinks and platters would be available during the day, however on check in we were told no food or drink was available during the day. Compared to other properties where we felt welcome to relax in the central area with a drink, fireplace, playing games etc, this property really lacked that feel.  Breakfast was hit and miss but okay. Again compared to other similar properties was smaller and more basic.  Dinner was lovely, can’t fault the food. Service could be improved - the restaurant was half full but it was still hard to order a drink or get water refills.  Overall nice but definitely not luxury outside of the treehouse itself.

Beautiful accommodation in amongst the tree tops. The room size was massive, great facilities in room and comfy bed. Positioned right in the middle of everything on the mountain with fantastic restaurants, cafes, and beautiful coffee right at your door stop. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found Treehouse #6 perfect as it had the best outlook with no other treehouses in front of us, extremely private.

Great place for a relaxation holiday or a romantic one. The cabins are very clean, heated, and have a spa. Staff are nice and very helpful.

Pethers was a beautiful, serene getaway. Room was clean, spa was a good size for 2 and the bed was comfortable. We had breakfast included and it was wonderful. The 3 course meal at the restaurant couldn't be faulted, except for the power going out for quite a time, not their fault of course and my husband got the generator going, which they were extremely thankful for (we did get a discount). The staff are lovely. The only thing I would have liked is a walking track within Pethers. Overall, beautiful place if you want quiet, comfortable and private.

As soon as we saw the standard of accomodation - quiet, spacious, high ceilings, warm (air-conditioning and log fire heater), private, nestled in a rainforest with quality furnishings and a spa bath, we wanted to extend our two night stay - unfortunately Pethers was fully booked. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the peace and the wonderful service from all staff. The dinner - the reason we were staying having dined there previously was superb - the chef, Alex Lee, is exceptional. We got a mid week package which included dinner, breakfast, a bottle of sparkling and chocolates which was very good value. Highly recommend
