中規中矩的酒店房型，餐廳較大，食品品類比較豐富，沙拉新鮮，飲料不錯，中低檔酒類，對餐食全包型酒店應該是很好了。但Wi-Fi 覆蓋範圍有限。

We arrived on the 24th September and received an excellent welcome, friendly staff, cool flannels, iced drinks. Check in was very efficient and we were shown to our room by a member of the team. The superior sea view room was perfectly lovely, very clean, very comfortable mattress and pillows. We found the storage to be more than enough although I did bring extra coat hangers! Everything in the room worked perfectly. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was powerfully. The food was excellent! A fantastic choice which all looked and tasted lovely. Buffets are never as hot as perhaps we would like wherever we have traveled but the food was well cooked and delicious. It appeared that there was only a choice of red, white or rose wine but I asked for a wine menu and there is a selection to choose from although some may be at an additional cost. We are enjoying every bar and every restaurant but our favourite spot is the top pool/bar. Plenty of sunbeds, great bar and excellent pizza and snacks. The beach is also great and we did not have trouble finding sunbeds. Overall this hotel has a lot to offer and in turn offers great value for money.

Don’t believe all the negative comments you’re reading. I was very close to changing my holiday location and I am I didn’t. Yes the rooms are quite small, but when you’re on holiday, they should really only be to sleep in and shower in. You don’t need a suite when the weather was amazing! The wasps are a bit of a pain, but they’re not as relentless as U.K. wasps. They don’t hound you. I did buy some wasp repellent and sprayed on my sun bed every day, so that may be why they didn’t bother me as much. I would suggest getting mosquito spray, as I did get bitten a good few times, which was a bit annoying but that is NOT the hotels fault. I never used the main pool, and stayed at the adults pool, my whole duration, which was lovely. I do wish, there was snack options at both pools, rather than just the main pool. The drinks and cocktails were incredible, the best I have ever had at an all inclusive. The staff were all very nice. The manager man in the restaurant, was very rude to his staff on a few occasions, which just isn’t nice to witness. Both roof top and sea restaurants feed you a lot, but the food was lovely! So maybe skip lunch that day! I would return, as the weather and location was great. I would like to explore a bit more next time, but I was mainly there to relax from my busy work schedule and that is what I done!

First Impressions • Seamless check-in and welcoming start. • We usually book 5* all-inclusive holidays; our priorities are food, drinks, and kids’ facilities for our 3-year-old. Room • Small rooms, with limited floor space and limited storage. Bring hangers! • Shower didn’t drain properly and entrance light was broken but both fixed quickly after reporting. Beach • Sunbeds uncomfortable — hard to sit upright. • Beach bar is great, but food is poor (limited to low quality burgers, chips, and wraps). Would be far better with gyros and fresh Greek salad. Pools • Extremely comfortable sun beds • All pools are small, rectangular, and underwhelming. • Toddler pool (great for under 4s) sits next to another small pool, both disconnected from the main hotel. • No alternative pool options or walking areas; after 7 days it feels limited without hiring a car. Food & Drinks • Themed food nights - we barely noticed themes, not much changed day-to-day • Food often lukewarm instead of hot. • Drinks and cocktails excellent — the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive in Europe • Poolside clay oven pizza is great. Kids • Toddler pool is perfect for ages up to 4. • Most children are under 4, yet kids’ club only caters for ages 4–12. A crèche or lower age limit would be better. Other Notes • Service, cleaning, food, and drinks all feel 5*. • Rent a car if you want to go anywhere. • Lunchtime taster menu and waiter service (as advertised) not available on beach • Being asked if I want to go to the spa 2-3 times a day gets old Tips • Don’t bring towels (hotel provides). • Do bring: sea shoes, extra hangers, insect repellent, citronella incense burner. • Watch the sunrise over the sea. • Avoid right-hand side of the beach (smells of fish, even though it catches the last sun). Summary If you’ve booked Valmar, don’t stress — you’ll have a great time. Food, drinks, service, and cleaning are great.

Staff pretty friendly especially Alex and Mary, very nice hotel and nice to be on the beach. However I have spoken to 50 people in the past day who all have food poisoning/ Nora virus, they have outside doctors on site because most the hotel is unwell, I’ve spent 2 days on the toilet due to it. The blonde haired lady told people they are making it up, disgraceful really. The chicken in the restraunt was raw last night, the bar staff at the beach are very dirty I think Alessandro his name may be. They don’t wash the glasses and he tastes the drinks with his spoon then puts it back into another drink. Shame as it is a nice hotel but unless you want to spend all week in bed like everyone else here then don’t come!

I have just come back from a week at Valmar. I will start with the good points: Hotel was very clean. Staff were mainly really lovely. There is a bus stop right outside so it is easy to get around the island. Views from the hotel are amazing. Drinks were great, everything is included in price. Food was really good, I’m quite fussy but there was plenty for me to eat every day. Pizza at the family pool was really good. Sunbeds are super comfy. Golf cart up to the kids pool is great and the drivers were lovely. Towels are available at the pools and beach all day, you can swap as often as you want. WiFi is extremely good at the hotel. Bad points: Storage space is a bit small, we took extra hangers. Some areas of the hotel are a bit rough looking (bad paint jobs, and not 100% finished) Adults pool is impossible to get a sunbed unless you get up super early to put towels down. There is a bit of a smell at the beach, but the bar and food down there is great. The only hooks in the bathroom for your shower towels is in the shower. Not great if you shower more than once a day as they are against damp walls and very close together. We couldn’t have a late check out as the hotel was full, they do let you have a room for 30mins per person that you can book the morning you leave. Great in theory but by the time we got to it at 5pm the shower was full of everyone else’s wet towels. The bathroom in the triple rooms is tiny, you could brush your teeth whilst you are on the toilet. The bar staff at the pools are not very friendly (I appreciate that they are working in really hot temperatures for 8 hours) I couldn’t get phone signal at the hotel without it connecting to an Albanian network which would have cost me to use, my partner got signal in most areas of the hotel on a Greek network. Other things to note: The whole island has a problem with mosquitoes, even with loads of different sprays we still got attacked and because of this couldn’t sit on our balcony which was a massive shame as we paid extra for a sea view room. They also have a wasp problem on the island, they actually weren’t that bad at the hotel. There was definitely lots around but they didn’t really bother you. If you use the bus to go to Corfu town it drops you off right by the old town, but to get back you have to walk all the way to the bus station. It’s quite a walk but very easy. Overall we had a wonderful week in Corfu.
